"Making something less scary + intimidating, and more approachable"
putting my thesis in comic sans so maybe I'll get some work don
I think I'm going to get another tattoo next year, and hopefully more after that. I've been wanting to for ages. and I've been thinking... so I have really bad issues with my body, it's always been pretty bad but I gained a bunch of weight and also have chronic pain & illness(es). so it kind of feels like this isn't my body. I won't even get into the gender aspects of it all (they're very relevant but I can't do anything about that at the moment).
but yeah, anyway, I want to put art on my body because I want to. it'd be my choice alone. I've never felt like my body is really mine, so idk I think it'll help a little. at least there will be pretty pictures that I can look at 🤷
I'll just have to get through the social anxiety and my needle phobia and my issues with wounds and injuries. lol
consider this: (musical) erik does not actually have sharp cheek bones, nor does he have a chiseled jaw. he actually uses makeup to create such an affect, because it’s considered more masculine and alluring, as opposed to a baby face.
now consider the following: christine learns this during the first unmasking when she smudges the makeup in her haste to rid him of the mask. this makes him even more angry and upset, and to frighten her more, he rubs away the makeup so not only is the unblemished side of his face red and angry, it is even more disproportionate to the marred side of his face, which is all angles.
After four days and four nights of rest, drifting in and out of sleep, Wally was ready to get back out into the mess they still found themselves in. The war now seemed incredibly calmer than during the horror show they all just went through. Looking around at all the demigods who had made it through, albeit somewhat happier, Wally thought that it might be a good idea to try and expand his talents. He didn’t expect anyone to try putting into effect another mass curse, but he should be ready if the time came. The son of Hecate thought about finding Lina to work with again.
On land right now, he walked through a crowd of Greeks, looking for a place to work. It was hard since everyone wanted to question him on what happened in the library. “I know you’re all really interested but not a lot happened, okay? Kolina and I did the spell. We came into contact with a few Romans but nothing too big happened. You know you can go ask Percy and Lina, right?”
[fic] Harbor in the Storm
Author: Semira Words: ~2,000 Characters: Sam, Dean, Max and Alicia (mentioned) Pairing/Genre: Gen, Hurt/Comfort, Emotional H/C, hurt!Sam, filling in the blanks the show refuses to fill or even acknowledge, cuddling and touching Summary: Placed after the end of 12.20, when Sam doesn't wake up to Dean frantically calling his name. Sam isn't okay, and there's a laundry list a mile long of reasons why. Sam talks. Dean listens. Actual meaningful conversation happens. Sam might sleep in Dean's bed. There was too much pain and too little casual affection and care this episode, honestly. [Contains 12.20 spoilers!]
Excerpt:
Sam doesn't bother explaining, just tips his chin to let Dean see the livid bruising where the witch's doll strangled him.
Dean hisses. "Jesus, Sam." Callused fingertips run down his neck, lingering over the mottled marks and exerting just the tiniest, fluttering bit of pressure before returning to the wheel. When Sam glances over, his brother is staring at the road again, too intent to be casual. "I guess I know why you didn't mention it, but... man, you gotta let me know if you're really hurting. There's a line when it comes to this kind of thing. A little sore throat is on the sure, okay side of the line, and my-throat-is-swelling-closed-'cause-I-got-freakin'-strangled-nearly-to-death is on the tell me right the hell away side.”

The Best Employment Tips For The Perfect Job
You may have heard that searching for a job these days is futile, but that is actually not the case. When you have a clear picture of what it takes to break away from the pack, you will find your experience to be far less intimidating. Keep reading to learn some practical tips to get the job you desire.
If you’re having a hard time with your job search, you might want to consider a different approach. There are a lot of places that may not be hiring these days but that shouldn’t stop you. Take the time to go to areas you may not have gone to otherwise, but make sure you can afford to make it there if you do get a job.
You should find out the average pay of people in your industry so you can negotiate the correct pay for yourself. A lot of people usually ask for low pay because they think their employer may not consider them if the amount is too high. This shows that you are confident in your abilities, and not afraid to take a chance and go for what you want.
TIP! If you currently have a job but are looking for another one, you should not slack off at work. If you don’t do what you are supposed to, your employers may be unhappy with your performance.
It’s important to prepare when searching for a job. Your resume should be fully current, including a strong list of qualifications. You need a good record of your education, certifications and accomplishments. You should include information relevant to your educational background as well as references from your work history.
Questions should be prepared prior to your interview. It is typical that an interviewer will ask you if you want to know about anything when the interview is complete. You can ask a variety of questions ranging from the current moral of the company to the job requirements of the position you are applying for.
When looking for a job, don’t make assumptions. Until you have a job, do not stop looking. Always make sure you have options available. More applications lead to more job opportunities.
TIP! Always dress your best professionally for your interview, even if the company allows casual business attire. Even if the position only requires casual dress, you will make more of an initial impression if you look professional during the interview process.
Patience is incredibly important for both job hunters and job posters. Regardless of the situation, whether someone quit or you had to fire someone, you should be patient and wait for the person that is right for the job. Hiring too quickly can lead to unqualified employees. Even worse, certain states have laws that make it extremely hard for you to terminate an employee.
Email Address
Use only a professional-sounding email address for work. Your email address can leave a first impression on the employer. Pick out an address that’s simple and has your last name in it. Don’t fail to get the job you want because of your email address.
TIP! Don’t get into conflicts with people where you work. Being know as a team player, someone who can work well with others, is a valuable trait.
Understand that companies exist to make money. Spend some time honing your message on how the talents you bring to the position will enhance their bottom line. Employers will obviously want you to be trustworthy and hard-working, but it is crucial that you also give them a potential for profit.
Get unemployment benefits if you lose your job. Don’t wait until your final day at work or the end of your severance pay. Signing up as quickly as possible means you’ll be approved faster, and your benefits will start sooner.
When just starting new employment, err on the side of over-communicating with your boss. Many negative work issues begin with the lack of communication. Report to your boss more than you normally would. Your boss will likely appreciate the effort, and can give you valuable feedback on how you can improve in the future.
TIP! Make sure that you go to your work early. You might end up hitting traffic and it also gives you an opportunity to talk to the prior shift.
If you’re having a hard time making a resume, try using a template online. Many free templates are available, and you can adjust them however you want. Take a look through quite a few templates to find the one that will highlight what you need best, such as your work history, education, etc.
It’s important to give out a great “vibe” at the interview. Be very positive, and do not forget to smile. Following this one simple rule will ensure that whoever interviews you will at least have a positive impression of you and your demeanor.
Online presence is important, so you should always be aware of how you look. Google yourself periodically. You will see what your potential employers will see, so you can change anything that’s necessary.
TIP! Continue to learn and grow. Technology and business are always changing so it’s best to stay abreast of everything.
The more you know about seeking employment, the less intimidating it becomes. There is no reason to feel inundated. Identify some advice that you found helpful, and then work on putting it into action. Before you realize it, you’ll have that job!
