presenting the greater piltover-zaun polycule (welcome to my twisted mind)
how it feels to be a multishipper in the arcane fandom
jayvik this, meljay that, skyvik this.
first of all, polycule.
second of all, what about my girl elora? let her in.
also consider this: mel, sevika, lest
And they kiss!!!
Im now known more for my Catcouncil than I am Jayvik 😩
Not that its a problem I just think its funny as a queer man Im known for wlw and not my mlm
ok I love shipping Lest with Mel (she needs to stop chasing that bi man who is clearly in love with his gay friend) but the SHIP NAME. LestMel sounds unnatural but the only alternative I can think of sounds like MOLEST. so uh. very not that one.
we need to come up with a name for them lol
Some MelLest art. For this page I wanted to experiment with using limited color palettes for most of the drawings and it was a very fun. I love these two, not only are they gorgeous ladies but they're also super fun to draw
mel medarda ships based on what time period they feel like
meljayvik - the roaring 20s, which have that particular inter-war optimism and mix of technological innovation and political maneuvering
lestmel - 1920s or 30s in the golden era of jazz clubs. come on.
melvik - i feel an interesting era to set them in would be the cold war (1947-1991)? you could lean into both of their statuses as “outsiders” and do something really interesting with that
meljay - 1800s age of sail, a period with notable discoveries like Charles Darwin but also a period of colonial expansion and warfare that i feel flow nicely into the theme of inventions being weaponized
melvika - 1950s when the mafia and the us government were starting to clash, but i can see the 1920s/30s appeal as well
melora - late 1700s/early 1800s in the regency era, fits the “young noblewoman and lady in waiting” romance trope i feel
