Yeah def! And I think they also totally underestimated how many people aren’t as interested/don’t have as much enthusiasm to go hard because of other factors that could’ve ended by now. People are still mad and sad and there’s been a huge divide which makes people less excited and enthusiastic about supporting the boys. Basically I mean, if babygate ended before Harry’s album promo then he would’ve got alot more support
yup. I think this is a huge factor in all of this - and people underestimate the Larie-part of the fandom too much.
and Harry’s fandom is too... divided to apparently work towards one goal together. it’s started with the charity drives for his birthday but was the same for the song promo.
and you could tell people weren’t very involved in the promo- we did a prompt meme for the week the song was released to promote buying/streaming the song with @harrystylesarchive and there were days where there were only three posts... and those weren’t even reblogged even though those really weren’t bad edits.
I feel bad for Harry cause he and his solo efforts should be supported just the same, but I totally get the frustration that’s built up over the last couple of years, the push and pull, the (apparent) freedom he has compared to Louis ... they’ve exhausted the fandom and if they want any of the boys to have the success they deserve something has to happen.
