Hi there, who wants to talk? What's on your mind? Why is the world fucked up to you?
Miss use of the word Weeaboo
Now in order for you to get why I'm doing this i wanna educate all you people who don't know what a weeaboo is Now this is one of the best definitions I've found
Weeaboo: A non japanese person who basically denounces their own culture and calls themselves japanese. They try to learn japanese through the anime they watch and usually end up pronouncing it wrong and looking like a complete idiot. (read this next part with care)
KEEP IN MIND: that a non-japanese person can like the culture, watch anime, speak the language and RESPECT THE CULTURE, while still keeping in touch with there own. Which keeps them from being a Weeaboo, japanophile, ect.
Weeaboo's basically disrespect the culture and make complete asses of themselves.
Now that you've been educated. its time to rant, Now i am a fan of most japanese culture, I've grown up watching various anime, and about two years ago i got into vocaloid, and I've been really interested in the fashion and various parts of the culture i even attempted to take a japanese class to learn more about the culture so one day i could go to japan and experience the culture and be able to communicate with the people there (i failed btw, I'm not very good at learning new languages so i quit while i was ahead). I am one of those people who like to share my interests with other hoping that i can possibly make friends who like the same things as me. Over all i have met some really cool people. but around 9th grade i had a friend (keyword had, he was a dick) constantly calling me a weeaboo in a very negative way, and since i didn't know what it was i didn't pay much attention
But soon it got to the point where i couldn't share my interests without negativity so i watched a video on someone explaining various terms and weeaboo came up and they gave a very good definition (similar to the one above) and i got very angry because of this, people were making fun of me for my interests and pretty much telling me I'm a fake, but i just really wanted to learn more. Then after learning this i shared that video with people who were calling me that hoping maybe they just didn't know what they meant, but of course since people act like idiots and say stupid stuff even when there is proof showing they are wrong it didn't work
I literally had a kid come up to me and say “hey i watched the video you posted but your still a weeaboo”.... This kid didn't even know me that well and the only reason he is calling me that is cause i was watching fairy tail around him once and i was talking about miku to a friend, meaning he had zero reason to call me that. So i then proceeded to cuss him out and walk away. After that i refuse to talk to anyone who has called me a weeaboo.
Now your probably wondering “whats the point?” The point is, if you don't know that definition of a word don't use it, if someone proves what it means don't be a dick and keep using it in the wrong way, don't be disrespectful to people because they like something you don't and overall don't be a uneducated swine because your really annoying to those of us who try to make ourselves smarter
It’s amusing when people delete fb posts that have caused big long comment sections because they said stupid stuff and it’s like deleting it is literally the worst thing you can do
Tumblr help?
Okay so my biology teacher and a few students were talking about how great it was to test on animals and then there's just me and the gang staring at them in horror.
SO since we've been given the opportunity to write our opinion I'm going to go off on a rant.
Please help me think of reasons I may have missed about why the inhumane side of animal testing and just animal testing in general is not acceptable.
I'm probably uberlate in asking this but why did you stop watching spn?
Bc it's getting old. I will gladly watch the first five season over and over, but I feel like the show now is more about quantity than it is about quality. To me, Supernatural isn't the same show as it was five years ago. The writing just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I don't like where it's going. If a show started this way, with where we are now, I wouldn't watch it. Too many dudes. Too little women. Too many women that die (or get de-aged, Tina, I really liked you, I'm sorry the writers don't). When I watch the show, I just get frustrated, and I feel that any show I watch should make me happy. I should enjoy it, not postpone it so long I've seen the whole episode on my dash.
And you know, watching became more of a chore instead of something to look forward to on my way home from school. I accepted fun shows over shows I don't like watching anymore (I mean, the same thing happened with The Vampire Diaries, once a show I learned English to, then a show I couldn't stand. Really, more doppelgangers and one true loves? I'd rather eat lasagna).
Let's Rant About - Civilization Revolution 2
Here is a pretty much perfectly accurate transcript of the launch trailer for Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2, and my reactions to it.
Firaxis Games: Hey guys, remember Civilization Revolution?
Me: Yeah, the streamlined slimmed-down Civilization game that was released on consoles, handhelds, and smartphones. Man, that was a good game! I played a ton of the 360 version, and especially the DS version. Having Civ in your pocket wherever you go? Good times.
FG: Yes, well, good news! Civilization Revolution 2 is here!
Me: What?! Really?! Man, I had no idea Firaxis was making a new Civ Rev game. That came totally out of nowhere. Yay!
FG: It's going to be a better version of the last game!
Me: Yay!
FG: You can still win the game in different ways, because it's still a Civ game!
Me: Obviously, but yay anyway!
FG: There's also a tech tree!
Me: Again, kinda implied when you call a game Civ, but yay nonetheless!
FG: There's new leaders!
Me: Yaaaayyy!
FG: There's new scenarios based on historical battles and events!
Me: That's never been my favourite way to play these games, but sure. Yay.
FG: You can totally still bomb the shit out of France.
Me: YES.
FG: And best of all, it's out right now, today...
Me: Yaaaayyyy!
FG: ...but only on the iOS App Store.
Me: Yaaa...wait, what? Really?! BOOOOO. Why did you have to break my heart like that?! Why are your hearts so cold?! BOOOOOOOO.
So yeah, I'm pretty bummed out.
Maybe I shouldn't be too surprised. I guess this shows that other Firaxis games such as the first Civ Rev and the port of XCOM: Enemy Unknown have done really well on iOS devices, but it was pretty obvious that both of those games only really worked on tablets, not on phones or iPods. You need a reasonable size screen to use the interface and take in that much information.
Well, I didn't play XCOM or the first Civ Rev on iOS, because the only iOS device I own is my iPod Touch, and while it does have a high-resolution screen, it's just far too small to play a game like this on it. And, sadly, it's far too small to play Civ Rev 2 on it, as well.
I've often thought about getting an iPad, probably a cheap one, maybe a model or two older than the current iPad. But I do, technically, have a laptop - it's just broken right now, and I can't be bothered and don't have the money to get it fixed. An iPad would be a bit excessive, but I just have to resign myself to the fact that there are some games that I can't play. I do, however, have a 3DS, so it would've been nice if Firaxis could be bothered to make a version for the platform.
But seriously, why only release it for iOS, when the DS version was so good? The 3DS has been a stronghold for strategy games since its launch, and Civ Rev 2 would fit right in. But alas, it is what it is, and I'm just left here with my disappointment and impotent rage.
Arrrgh, my rage is so impotent right now. It's the worst.
