A bottle of perspective.

One of my best friends is all psyched about a 500 calorie diet and after years of eating disorders and a number of traumatizing life experiences over the last five years which forced me to reevaluate myself as human being I’m like… oh. oh my. friend. let me. hug. oh god. WHYYyyy?!?! 

Like, I finally developed a healthy thought process and diet (not diet as in trying got lose weight, but diet as in I-eat-veggies-a-lot-and-sometimes-whole-grains) which is great but I had to fall off of a couple of cliffs to get there. 

Like… I kind of want to bottle up the last five years of my life and give it to her and be like… here. Here is all of the perspective that you are missing.

Not like I’m a guru or a genius or shit but the emotional journey that I’ve taken over the last five years has given me a lot of perspective about what she’s going through and I know exactly where she’s at in her journey and I just want to hire a cab to go pick her up and drive her through it so that she doesn't have to keep walking barefoot through this fucking mountain range.

I won't. It’s her journey. I love her and I’m here to support her. But emotions, man. Emotions.
