Me: So a lot of historians considered female monarchs like you tyrants in the past, but nowadays feminists have changed the narrative and they're reworking history books to have a more complex and accurate narrative without sexist bias. James Sirius Potter who is actually a seer but doesn't really know it. It starts with small things, vibrant dreams, deja vus every next day. Then it turns into a nightmare of his mother falling of the broom and breaking her arm, and it actually happening. Of his brother being estranged to slytherin, and it slapping him in the face. It has its benefits, ofcourse. A few hazy questions in his dreams, that appear in the exam the next day. He finds solace in Professor Trelawney, if u can believe it! But then, oh then, he dreams about his brother again. His little baby brother. He dreams him holding onto a dead, bleeding body. He dreams him yelling himself hoarse. He dreams him sobbing over Scorpius Malfoy's corpse. The same Scorpius Malfoy whom he had warned James not to ever come near, hands cleching his collar, staring deep into his eyes with gnawing, burning malice after James had made the mistake of letting his friends tease the boy by calling him the son of voldemort. The same Scorpius Malfoy whom he had called the only good thing in his life. James wakes up, gasping for breath. The world crumbles from beneath him. He thinks, should he tell someone? His mom? Dad? Albus ? He should tell someone, shouldn't he?

Sonic Mania

I have nothing new or original to say about this game. It's just as wonderful the fifth time through as the first.

If you are even slightly interested in sonic at all play it. It is SO GOOD.

Control

I played through the fourth mission of Control today. This is a replay for me so its going a little differently. I wish I were just a little more patient and going through all the dialog and reading every single collectible. I'm doing some, but I'm mostly just focusing on my build and having fun with how smooth the game is. It just feels SO GOOD to play. Most of my build focuses on using Pierce to one-tap beefy enemies while using Launch to just decimate smaller enemies.

I'm glad I'll get to experience the DLCs this time around too.

I am getting the story a little bit better and relating to Jesse wayyyy more than my previous playthrough. As I do with what feels like everything I am seeing a trans narrative through Jesse, what with her struggling to get those in the Bureau to refer to her as she wants, and Polaris guiding her to get what she wants out of life.

One major change in this experience is how I perceive Polaris. I was very distrustful of them in my first playthrough, and I don't really remember what happens at the end of the story. Now, I am fully into Polaris being a stand-in for the player themselves, what I can only imagine was very much the intent of the game designers.

What do you think? Did you trust Polaris when you played the game? Did you find the game to be a wholly satisfying experience?
