CUTE!!! 😍 @protectivestyles “First time trying Jumbo Box braids. 🤭 Now lookey lookey 👀 ....what do we have here? Me attempting to step out of my comfort zone. 😫 I have never attempted to do box braids on my own so this was very challenging. I am also so proud of myself that I walked around the crib swinging my hair like no one’s business. 🗣 A lil Twerk here and there as well. 🤣 Hair deets: I started by blowing out my hair using low heat and then I parted my hair into ten braided sections. My lines might not be as crisp as I wanted them to be but hey....It’s my first attempt! 🤷🏽♀️ I used #letsjam extra hold to keep my hair sleek and flyaways slick down. Then I used rubber bands to assist me with hold because I wasn’t sure if I could grip my hair tight enough without it. (Next time I will try without rubber bands) . 😬 I used one pack of hot water curl braid pack: layer Yaki 52” 3 pieces Multi tangle free. I used this brand because it’s pre cut, pre feathered, pre stretched, pre-layered so I didn’t have to do much. I dipped my hair in hot water and then added some styling mousse to the end for hold and shine. Took me about 2 hours total.
