Looking back on my scientific pursuits, my mistake was made when I let my scientific pursuits take precedence over a calm and tranquil mind. In my work, I abandoned my friends and family, grew distant from nature, worsened my health, and created a wretched monster. My goal at the time was to further the pursuit of science with my creature, disregarding everything else, but this mindset is what brought so much strife upon me, my friends, my family, and society at large. While the pursuit of knowledge is noble, it should not be above the health and level headedness of a person.

Hi! The google definition is pretty much it, calm and sensitive fits. Just like a very good control over your temper, or a lack of a temper.
