Headcanons: Spending Christmas with the Leverage team

❆ At first you didn’t know if the team would be celebrating Christmas at all, having just finished a pretty rough job.
❆ But as soon as you all returned home, you started planning to get together Christmas morning at Nate’s.
❆ You stayed over at Eliot’s place (as per usual) and helped him pre-prepare some food for Christmas dinner, as well as wrap some presents.
❆ On Christmas morning, after you and Eliot ate some breakfast together, you went to Nate’s.
❆ Eliot started making some pastries and hot chocolate while you waited for Parker and Hardison to show up.
❆ When they did, Parker greeted you with a big hug, almost knocking you off your feet.
❆ After hanging out for a bit, with some bickering between Parker and Eliot as he tried to explain the origins of Christmas through her continuous questions, you finally sat down together to pass out presents.
❆ No one agreed to a budget for your gifts, but you all agreed on getting each other one present. Though this was very hard for you to follow.
❆ You got Parker a brand new set of climbing gear, which she was ecstatic about. Hardison a new keyboard set up you knew he had been eyeing, Nate a simple new suit, as he had recently ruined his favorite, Sophie a pair of designer shoes, and Eliot a set of new expensive cooking knives he had mentioned wanting to get.
❆ Eliot and you had gotten each other more than one present, that you would give to each other later once you returned home. Though, neither of you knew of the others secret gifts.
❆ Most of Christmas day had been spent with all of you watching movies, and playing games, or helping Eliot in the kitchen with the food.
❆ About half way through the day, you sat against the kitchen counter and watched the others, smiling to yourself.
❆ Eliot, seeing this, would come and stand next to you, inquiring what you were thinking about.
❆ “I didn’t think this would feel like this”
❆ “Like what?”
❆ “Like we’re a family.”
❆ Eliot smiled before reaching over and kissing your cheek “Why not? We are a family.”
❆ You smiled at him, looking at Parker who was terrorizing innocent people in whatever game she was playing, as Hardison desperately tried to teach her what she was supposed to be doing.
❆ You and Parker had been friends for a long time, way before she met Nate and the others. And you had both known of each other’s pasts.
❆ Seeing her with Hardison and the others, you were so happy that she found a place to belong. And you were forever grateful to her for bringing you in, and introducing you to Eliot, who you loved deeply.
❆ “You’re right. We are.”
❆ Once dinner was done, and you all sat down, the familial feeling only grew.
❆ Especially when Hardison and Eliot started to bicker about the proper order of food and what goes with what. While Parker laughed at them while leaning her head on your shoulder.
❆ Sophie and Nate shared mutual looks of amusement and annoyance, as you watched everyone with a sense of gratefulness and love.
❆ When dinner finally finished you all sat around together for a while, mostly remaining silent, as you were all tired from having eaten so much.
❆ Finally parting ways when the sky started to grow dark, you and Eliot headed to his apartment, where you would later surprise each other with more gifts.
❆ Eliot, when you were with the others, hand given you a classic Eliot gift; a hand carved blade that you could hide easily on your person.
❆ But when you were alone together, he gave you more personal gifts. Trinkets with personal meanings for your relationship, as well as a card with the promise of a trip to a location of your choice when you choose.
❆ You gave him some more useful objects for the kitchen or his weapons collections, as well as an old style amulet with a carving signifying long life and happiness.
❆ Finishing the night off, you laid together on the couch, in each others arms until you fell asleep.
