Levi Rogers on why listenining to, and discussing, artists like Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé matters more than ever.
Today's feature is "Stating the Obvious" by Levi Rogers, a reflection on why listening to Kendrick Lamar and Beyonce is important:
I have been incredibly bored in the studio lately so I've been photographing Levi over and over.
There are few things that make me as proud or excite me more than the way the artists in our community share their gifts. Here is one look at how Levi Rogers and Mike Friberg documented a specific street in SLC.
Here is the description from the Missio Site -
A baby born in a manger is not how any of us would view power. And for the God of the universe to choose this humble entrance into the world reminds us that he has come for the powerless. Jesus came to proclaim good news to the poor and freedom to the captives, and that news is for all of us who are all powerless against the devastating consequences of sin.

This collection of photos and this story read by Levi Rogers begin to tell the story of prostitution in SLC. Our community hopes to love and serve this community by helping meet needs and giving them dignity wherever and whenever possible. That said, the relationship is not one of the powerful serving the powerless. This story is one of Missio's people and the women of the streets building a relationship where both are powerless and in need of Jesus.
Levi Rogers is one of the best riders to come out Bristol in recent years. He's got front wheel skills for days. Here he is doing his stuff at Dean Lane for our boys at Crucial.
