Levi Week Day 2 - Underground City/Childhood Memories
I wanna contribute to Levi week! So here's a fic that I wrote a while ago that fits the prompts for day 2!
Levi knew that their life wasn’t perfect, his Mama’s and his. Even at his young age, he knew they had nothing, at least not in worldly possessions. In truth, Levi knew that he had everything he needed in his Mama’s love. That didn’t stop him from wishing they had more though. Maybe then his Mama wouldn’t have to hide him in the closet while all sorts of different men came to see her. He never really knew what they did together, but he knew it didn’t sound pleasant, sometimes. Some of the men that came in hit his Mama, cursed her, threw her around the room, and she didn’t do anything to stop them. He didn’t understand why she never said anything. This time was no different.
This time when Levi was allowed to come out of the closet he noticed right away the angry bruise that was forming over his Mama’s right eye, her busted lip, the way she gingerly cradled her midsection with her arms as if it hurt her to move without the added support.
