I thot of posting on my own as a fix-it/divergence but it also works as a headcanon.
This wouldn’t happen until after Hands of Time but it’s more prevalent during the Wildbrain Era seasons.
After the ninjas scattered in search of Master Wu, they would often run into small or local trouble in towns and cities. Most of the time it’s either bandits, solving mysteries, or needing with the environment/terrain but when they’re particularly proactive, they’re sometimes willing to help ppl in some of their personal struggles.
Like Kai helping a village craftsman in glass blowing (another headcanon, that Kai expanded his crafting skills related to fire), Cole coaching a private dance group for kids, or Jay willing to fix some family’s broken appliance.
Favorite scene is Lloyd helping farmers in farming or just reforesting a specific area, foreshadowing his true Life element.
Basically, sometimes when they’re not busy and r scattered somewhere, the ninja r willing to Spider-man level of street saving
Thinking of the stereotype of 'cat stuck in the tree' and how all the Ninja would deal with that issue now lol
