Hi, welcome to the blog! If you couldn’t tell already, this blog is for headcanons about Ninjago. Below are the rules and everything else you need to know.

RULES:

Any form of NSFW/NSFL on this blog is strictly banned. Not only will some people be uncomfortable, but all the mods here are minors.

Don’t attack people for their headcanons.

No using slurs even if you can reclaim them.

No overly gross headcanons. Trust me, no one wants to see something like “Jay farts peepee poopoo everywhere” in their feed.

No copy and pasting other people headcanons directly. I know it seems like a minor thing, but those are people's creative ideas.

- I like to headcanon that Ray and Maya were actually expecting for Kai to be the elemental master of water and Nya the master of fire

Hear me out on this for a second !!

-So! We all know how in Seabond Nya was named after the legendary Nyad, right?

It doesn't have to necessarily be specifically because she was an elemental master of water but instead it can be because she was one of the most respected elemental users EVER!!!

-also, I like to belive that Kai's name is water related and that it means the ocean!

Because you see, in japanese the name 'Kai' has many kanji writings but most the common form for it is "海" which means... You guess it~ Ocean!!!

-And it also because I headcanon that Kai inherited Nya and inherited Ray's face while Kai inherited Maya's (expect for the mouth shape)

-Also! A bonus headcanon is that Kai and Nya are Androgynous!!

Lloyd wanting so badly to be the cutest most cliche boyfriend on the planet, always taking a jacket with him whenever he and Akita go out so he can give it to her at a romantically appropriate moment

but Akita is NEVER COLD.

She was built to last in the long winter of the Never-Realm, and no where else is remotely that cold on a regular basis, not even the Never-Realm anymore, and if it is you bet she's already dressed for it. She's usually overheating everywhere they go. Lloyd ALWAYS gets visibly uncomfortable with the temperature before she does. Eventually everyone on the team gets clued in on this running attempt to be chivalrous. They start scheming to get them into situations which make Akita disproportionately chilly. It doesn't work. No one has ever seen this woman shiver even slightly. Finally, they've been together like three years and Akita gets this awful cold which finally gives Lloyd his moment, and the whole team gets disproportionally hyped at the idea of Akita being so sick that Lloyd finally got to give her a jacket. It's all anyone's talking about for like a week.

celebrating akita getting sick so lloyd can finally be chivalrous is so giggle and a huge milestone in their relationship oughhhh i lov llokita

Jay Leno should replace Lloyd's voice actor as the definitive Lloyd VA. his take on Lloyd in the video game is honestly THE BEST Lloyd voice around and i get he's 76 now but he still sounds the same. MAKE IT HAPPEN LEGO

okay so I'm projecting here but idc

kai has an ed, specifically ARFID (Avoidant / Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), due to how he & Nya grew up w/o parents, and therefore without steady income and food

he occasionally forgets to eat, but that's better compared to the fact that he used to miss 2-3 meals a day when he first joined the ninja (ergo a constant & guaranteed food source)

this stems from how he used to skip meals while he & Nya were growing up b/c of the lack of food. he would give it all to Nya and not eat any himself. his only meal would usually be either breakfast or dinner, if he even ate at all.

even today, kai's main focus is making sure Nya is eating, which takes the focus off of making sure he's feeding himself

I feel like the rest of the team, Zane especially due to his love of cooking and the whole 'protect those who cannot protect themselves' thing, try their best to ensure that he eats every day. Be it "accidentally having some leftover lunch" or physically grabbing him for dinner instead of just calling him.

the “source dragons” aren’t technically dragons. They mostly appear in mortal form as dragons because that’s easier for their followers to understand and feel comfortable with. In reality, their “natural” mortal form is more similar to a cross between a dragon and an oni. That’s part of the reason both sides wanted the first master so bad during the oni-dragon war.

My ninjago headcanon is honestly not really related to the show but i believe sincerely that @parachutingkitten is a Lego Ninjago plant (lovingly) and that she works closely with the crew and only PRETENDS to be just a casual observer

After the incident when Wu and G stole the scrolls of forbidden spinjitsu, the fsm would leave fake scary notes on stuff so Wu and Garmadon wouldn’t mess with them

Example: a jar of completely normal tea that had a note saying “poisonous tea”

cole loves to experiment with his hair. his mom used to do it for him when he was younger, and when she died and he was sent to Marty Oppenheimer's he cut it all off and kept it short. through the years though he starts to let it grow longer and come sons of garmadon he's back to enjoying messing with it again
