Working for Sina Industries has always been a life long dream for Hange. As a wide eyed child, she would always watch live broadcasts of their space launches and tell herself one day shes gonna be there.Standing in mission control smiling as she watched one of her creations get sent to a different planet.Armed with a degree & a determined heart, she applied as an engineer. You could imagine her disappointment when she was crammed into an 8x12 cubicle in the basement to design and develop circuitry which their boss greedily takes credit for all the damned time. She's pretty good at keeping a front that shes a pretty chill with all her bosses bullshit but she finally lost it when he started harassing a temp.Hange bravely spoke out and got into a heated argument with her boss. She got supended for a week after that.
It took almost six months before she was promoted to another 8x12 cubicle.Only this time, shes moving up on the infamous 17th floor. The place where they flung all the adept yet problematic employees. Its pretty much the same, shitty boss, intricate work but now on a higher pay grade and a lot more hearsay about her reputation. Its not so bad though, despite the lack of recognition and grueling work hours she met a handful of wonderful coworkers who shared the same pain.
Mike and Nanaba were sort of the required stable couple of the group. She met them a month after the big promotion when she caught them making out in the copy room. She's probably standing there for an entire minute awkwardly making fake cough noises to alert them of her presence.Enter Erwin Smith,he casually strode up by the couple and grabbed the box of printer ink Hange desperately needed. He's like freaking Captian America & Superman combined except he has a mind of a slytherin. Not that it was a bad thing.
And then there's Levi,The crabbiest member of their little group,Mr.I-look-very-angry-and-irritated-all-the-time-but-inside-lies-a-total-softy.He’s a clean freak who befittingly,is a sanitary engineer.Rumors say that Levi had tendencies with violence and had to be sent at 17th floor for precaution. There used to be a time when they didn't get along. She'd been very welcoming towards him but hes always been aloof and cold. She didn't mind it at first, but after a while it kinda got into her nerves.Til that christmas party back in 2017,where she had a few drinks and sort of confessed that she liked him and it really bummed her out that he didn't feel the same way.For the first time, she saw something other than disinterest and irritation on his face...she saw confusion. He asked her what shes on about, then reminded her that he just made her chocolates for valentines day when she won't shut up about craving something sweet. He doesn't do that kind of shit just for anyone and after that, hange was pretty sure they've become best friends.
Their friendship was forged in companionship in misery but as time passed they became her second family.
One of the things that Hange looked forward to is hanging out with them every Friday night at a dive bar a few blocks away from their office where they get shit faced and let off some steam from their work.Hange was preoccupied with the jukebox when Mike arrived with his arm slung over Levi dragging the smaller man into her space.”You'll never guess what happened.”The man announced and before she could answer the man screamed."Someone got asked for a date!"
"Ohoho!Whos the lucky girl?"Nanaba came out of nowhere carrying two mai tais and handed one to Hange before heading over at Mike's side.
"Petra Ral."Erwin chimed cooly while sipping a glass of scotch. His blond hair still laid perfectly even after a long tiring day at work.
"From PR?Holy shit!Good job!"Hange said slapping Levi’s shoulder hurting her hand in the process. The man didn’t even falter from where he stood, all he did was stare straight at her before scowling."It's not a big deal.”He said settling his gaze on his side.
Hange smiled.
He’s shy.Levi Ackerman is actually being shy about getting asked out by an adorable strawberry blonde colleague.Isn’t that precious? She’d never seen him like that before.Heaven knows how much she wanted to tease him about his situation but she can clearly tell by the way he clenched his jaw and the deep creases on the space between his brows that if she says anything,he'd run straight to the wall to escape, cartoon style.
Mike started telling the story and Levi sneakily started edging towards the exit. Before the questions came flooding in,Levi was already gone.
“I think I should follow him.“Hange announced.
"Try to convince him to go out with Ral!"Mike shouted which prompted Erwin to take his drink away from him."I think you had enough."
"Goodluck!"Nanaba raised her drink at her. Before helping Erwin keep Mike's drink away from him.

Hange found Levi brooding on the sidewalk while smoking.”Can I get a light?”She asked.
“Its cold.”He said, which also translates to she should go back inside or she’ll catch a cold.Levi’s nice like that,it took everything in her to hold back and not make a snide comment. He alwas hated it when he gets called out for being considerate.
“So Petra Ral huh?”She started.
“I don’t wanna talk about it.”
“We don’t have to,If you don’t want to.”Hange calmly took a box of cigarettes from her pocket and stood a bit closer to him.
“Good.”He said before tossing her his lighter.
Hange bit her lower lip to stifle a smile and Levi was already armed with his grumpy face. He's getting a little agitated. She let the silence drag on for a while as she started to giddily shift from where she stood.Unable to contain her curiosity.
“But its Petra Ral...The Petra Ral!Our company sweetheart.”She exploded.
“I barely know her.”
"Isn’t that what dating is for?!Besides,She probably just needs to get dicked down."Hange said casually."Go for it!Have a little fun. What’s there to lose?"
"Yeah well...I don't think I could."Levi started bouncing his leg.Is he nervous?Agitated? Both? It seemed like he's trying to say something.
“Levi, you know we wont judge you if you’re gay right? You don’t have to hide it from us.”
“Why would I be hiding that if I was?”
“Then what are you nervous for?"
“I’m not nervous...I.."Levi paused as if he's considering if he should tell her."I haven’t...I...”
“You're acting like you've never been out on a date."she said.
Levi visibly stiffened and averted her curious eyes. From where she sat,she could see how levi clenched his jaw and feel him hold his breath. No?It cant be...
"Oh.Its been a while for you huh?like 6 months?"She tried to take a wild stab but was met with silence.Hange sobered."You’ve never been on a date before?"she repeated a little louder than she meant to and not soon after she found Levi's hand over her mouth.
“You wanna scream that a little louder?“
“EVER?!”She peeled his hand off her face and asked.
“Tch.I dont need this.“Levi rolled his eyes and started leaving but hange caught his arm.
"Hey!I'm sorry.I didn't know.Its nothing to be embarrassed about.Its just,its a little uncommon you know.I'm really sorry.I didn't mean to be a dick.”
She assumed that its not because of the lack of people who wanna date with him.Believe it or not, this whole quiet mysterious guy persona is a total chick magnet. She even had several people from the office ask about him every once in a while. So what happened? Is it trauma? Is he aromantic?Holy shit! How could she be so insensitive?
“Stop looking at me like that.”He frowned.Snapping her out of her thoughts.
“Sorry,I was just thinking...”
“Don’t think of anything.Just mind your own business and let me be.”
“What kind of friend would I be if I let you be?”
“A good one.And stop drawing conclusions!I can practically see the thoughts up your head.I'm not anything I just...dont know how.”
“why are you so intent on giving up?!I thought you like her!”
“I didn’t say that.”
“Oh please Ackerman! How can you not? She's the perfect mix of adorable, kind, fiesty and beautiful...she’s perfect for you!”
"What do you want me to do?"he asked,in his how can I make you shut up tone.
"What if I help you?You could...I dont know...practice with me?I could help you with the whole dating thing!"Levi looked at her as if she grew another head.Honestly shes just happy he didn't look disgusted with her proposal. He gave her a once over before pinching the bridge of his nose. She knows this maneuver. Its the what-have-i-gotten-my-self-into or holy-shit-am-I-actually-considering-this move.“Are you sure about this?”He asked.
Hange made a gesture of crossing over her heart and raising her right hand up and levi scrunched his brows together.
“Quit downplaying this.I’m serious.”
“I wont offer it if my not 100% I’m serious. The last guy I went out with was a total disappointment and Petra deserves better than that. You know she helped me last Christmas...”
“Yeah, yeah she helped you change your tire."He supplied, refraning hange from tellong the story again.
“And in exchange I'm gonna help you be more fun and well rounded for your date! It's the circle of life!”Hange enthusiastically smiled.
“Alright.How do we start?”Levi asked.
"Ask Petra to reschedule your date for next week,Then we can take the whole week to practice."
#
The harsh sun bore down on Levi as if reminding him never to indulge Hange with her antics again.Aparrently, she found Petra's online journal and identified that she had two dream dates. One is a carnival date (which explains why he is standing in line for cotton candy out in the middle of the goddamn afternoon.) and the other was spending an evening at a local jazz bar in the city.
Levi doesn't know how she successfully lured him out.You see,he liked his comfort zone and for some unknown reason Hange always challenged him to take a step out of the little box he created around him.And although there are times when she proved that taking a risk was worth it,Levi never really appreciated getting stuck in very shitty situations like now.He doesn't know how she seemed fine with all these shitty conditions.Maybe because she's been busy talking about her new droid remodel.
"Hey Levi are you listening to me?"
"Yes."He said exasperated.
"What was I saying then?"She folded her arms and raised her brows, challenging him.
"You're planning to replace fiberglass with aerogel as insulator on your next shitty droid."He said which earned a bright smile from her.Tch!He rolled his eyes at that and stepped forward after the couple infront of them was served with an unreasonable amount of cotton candy.
"I'll get the giant sunshine surprise."Hange said and the vendor then started shaping the cotton candy into a big daisy.Hange looks absolutely delighted.
"That will be 50 dollars."The vendor said offering his open palm to him which prompted him to turn towards Hange."Oh!let me get my wallet!"Hange started going though her bag and for some reason he felt chills run through him.WheN he raised his head,he noticed that people around them started glaring at him.Oh great he forgot! He's in a fake date.He assumed people still think he's obligated to pay.Tch.So fucking primitive.Although he's never the guy who gave much fuck about what others think,he didnt want people to think Hanges being mistreated.Begrudgingly,he paid for the goddamn cotton candy.Hange took that opportunity to talk about how expenses should be handled during dates, she personally likes going dutch but immediately started going on about some studies that says women generally like it when the males carries out the expenses.
Hange's like a battery that never runs out of energy. She wanted to ride every possible attraction from the carnival!Beads of sweat are starting to form on her forehead but she never seem to notice,he started leading her to a park bench to rest for a bit.He appreciated how much she prepared. She was very keen on citing the psychology articles and some magazines she read to help him be better at dating. He doesn't even know why would anyone even exert that much effort for him.
She really is something.
He pulled out his handkerchief out of his pocket and started gently dabbing it on her forehead.
She smiled.
#
Hange didn't really need to teach him much.Despite the seemingly abrasive qualities Levi possess, the man is a very courteous guy.He said thank you, please and treated the park employees with respect.Shes pretty sure he wouldnt have much trouble impressing a girl."You never told me why you've never been out on a date."She started.
"I was never asked."Levi shrugged as if telling her its no big deal.Hange was shocked at his honesty but appreciated his straight answer.
"Based on my observations today I'd say all those girls that didnt ask you out missed out on a good time."
"Tch!Quit bullshitting me."
"It's true! You diligently listened to my stories, joined me riding all the and most importantly, you bought me an unreasonably overprized cotton candy."
Levi let out a soft chuckle at that and Hange immediately panicked. This is the first time she ever made him chuckle and goddamn it was glorious. It's like his features lit up and made him look years younger. She had to bit her lower lip to sort of calm her wild heartbeat. They stayed seated on the bench for a while when Levi surprisingly asked her to walk around some more.As they started to amble along the park,an idea popped on her head.
#
Her hands gently crept on his wrist and made way to cup his hand "what the..."He glared at their joined hands, but didn't find the need to pull away."You're sticky."He remarked
"Does sticky hands really matter if youre holding hands with your crush?"She asked. He kept his eyes on her and he saw blush creep up to her face."I-I mean not me...I meant Petra...which is basically me because im her placeholder at the moment and..."
"Hange."
"Hm?"
"Shut up."He slipped his Fingers against the gaps of hers and continued wandering around the park.

Happy reading to my giftee and I only hope they will be able to find it ^_^
You can also read the fic under the cut, but if you have no problem with ao3 I recommend reading there cause I edit with ao3 in mind and it probably looks better there ;>
Stranger Snuggle
Everything was against him.
The burn in his thighs, the late sunshine blinding his eyes, the dirt on the streets making his smart shoes slide with every second step, the wheels of his suitcase, surly damned by now as he was pulling them after himself through all the curbs, his breath heavy when he suddenly stopped, knowing he wouldn’t make it on time. Everything. Fuck!
Levi kicked the automatic door moving apart in what must have been slow motion, because no fucking way it was their average speed. A security guard took a step in his direction but Levi’s one pissed glance made him stop and he entered the airport unbothered.
Holly fucking shit!
He came just in time to see his flight disappear from the departures board and the anti-burglar blinds go down in most of the stores, accompanying his misfortune. Taking deep breaths to calm down a little he went to the coffee shop in the middle of the hall, in which two workers were still hanging around, and glanced yearningly at the empty food display. At least he’d get himself something warm to drink, he thought, before the coffee shop staff informed him they had already cleaned everything and were as good as closed.
Fucking perfect.
Hungry, thirsty, exhausted from running and even more annoyed then a while ago, Levi sat on the nearest couch, clearly belonging to the coffee shop, and gave the workers another glare, making sure none of them would dare to protest. He took out his laptop and, cursing the too slow airport Wi-Fi everything he had in his rich shit-talking inventory, he booked the nearest flight home. The price was another thing to put him down, knowing he wouldn’t get a refund, not after spectacularly messing up his task. His next flight was at five in the morning, so in eight hours.
Eight hours for which Levi wouldn’t dare to go to the hotel by the airport because, one, he wouldn’t give himself a single credit he wouldn’t oversleep and miss yet another flight, and two, after wasting so much money on a flight alone he kinda shouldn’t be spending more, not yet.
So yep, he was going to wait there the six hours or so before he’d be able to check in, get rid of his luggage and eat something in the departure longue, since everything in the open space closed. Had he already though how fucked up things were?
It wasn’t fine but he tried to convince himself it was and not to think about coming work late and sleep deprived, straight from the plane, and alone. Fucking co-workers who not only didn’t show up to their meeting the scheduled time but didn’t show up at all, fuck them! He tried to ignore his empty stomach and the chill on his skin that he felt once he rested a little after his run. The little bit of sweat cooled him unpleasantly. The burn in his things was almost imperceptible as he was sitting, but the tired muscles were slowly sabotaging him and lulling his brain to give them a rest and sleep. Just fall asleep on the soft coach, which Levi was refusing to do, and the thought of all the people before him that must have been sitting there, sleeping maybe, half of them probably just as gross as he felt at the moment, was doing a great job in keeping him sober.
The crowds were thinning with time passing, as only a few planes were leaving at night, and the noise turned into a nearly silence, with the buzz of ventilation somewhere at the side of Levi’s consciousness, ASMR-like almost, and…
……zzZZ
Levi thought that his pillow felt weirdly scratchy tonight. As if it wasn’t his pillow but one of the cushions from…
Oh, no.
He jerked up, remembering where he was and that sleeping there was absolutely unacceptable. Or rather he tried to jerk up, because there was something heavy pressing him to the side of the coach. Something hard and, to give it justice, probably being what kept him warm, because he didn’t feel the chilliness anymore.
Levi opened his eyes, expecting to see the hall crowded and someone, just like him, accidentally falling asleep next to him, but no. Except for a few people whose silhouettes he could notice on the far away, uncomfortable chairs, and probably the security guards luring somewhere in the dark, it was almost empty! So why, the fuck, someone decided to treat him like a human pillow rather than sit… Well, anywhere else.
“Tsk.” Levi snorted and tried to push the person apart, but instead they murmured something in their sleep and… Did they just slipped an arm behind his back? Ugh! Levi tried to wriggle a little, but all it caused was making the other one clutch closer, as if they were afraid their only source of warmth was going to escape.
Resigned, Levi looked around himself, noticing what in the dimmed light seemed to be a particularly used up and over-packed backpack with what should be an illegal amount of pins. Would they even be allowed into a plane with those? He took a look at the person by his side, now literally hugging him, which, while annoying him, was making him warmish and sleepy again. But the closer look was exactly what he needed to wake his normal reactions just a little bit, and he started to realise this was not good.
The backpacker kept half of his hair in a messy ponytail, the other half was almost covering their face, only a prominent nose was sticking out from the kind of greasy strands of hair. Yuk! Looking further down their body, which Levi couldn’t decide whether was female or male, he saw a giant, knitted sweater reaching half their tight, skinny jeans and…
Aaaaaaaah! There was a hole in their sock!
“Hey! Wake up!” He couldn’t take it anymore, seriously, the hole was too disturbing. “Come one, you filthy sleepyhead, I’m not a free mattress, shit!” Levi eventually managed to push them away, making them fall onto the other side of the coach, and he could see the front of their sweater that they were pressing to him looked like it had a particularly close contact with mud. Or something even worse.
Being pushed onto their back must have woken them up, because they yawned heavily and stretched.
“Is it morning already?” They asked, and Levi thought, judging from their voice rather than the slim build, that it was a woman. Because whom was he to judge people by their body build, nevermind that thought actually…
“No. But you’ve fallen asleep on me of all people, and I was concerned.” Levi said.
The woman looked at him as if Levi’s words didn’t make much sense and Levi saw the biggest, shiniest eyes he’d ever seen. Which was another thought he’d rather not have... Luckily for him, or maybe not so luckily, he was too tired to decide, the sight lasted only a glimpse, because she squinted.
“Where are my glasses?” She murmured, palpating through the coach.
Levi didn’t answer to that, more and more irritated with every passing second and slowly coming to the sober realisation that he’d been just chosen by this crazy, dirty backpacker. Maybe she didn’t stink, by judging by her looks she hadn’t seen a shower for a while now either. Disgusting. And who knew what else was on her mind, and what she was hiding in the backpack.
Eventually she found the glasses somewhere behind her and looked at him again, this time focused.
“You look annoyed.” She said. As if it was his fault. As if he was the weird one here, damn it!
“What a surprise.” Levi hissed, grabbed his suitcase and went to the other side of the coffee shop, the broken wheels creaking behind him. He could swear the weirdo was staring after him.
He barely sit on another coach when the woman came after him and sat, to Levi’s please on a separate armchair.
“What do you want?” He asked.
“Are you mad at me?” She asked back, as if it wasn’t absolutely obvious.
“Of course not, why would I be?” He said. Maybe it was his voice that he’d been told many times wasn’t the best to carry over his emotions, or the woman was just so dumb, because she seemed unaffected by his sarcasm.
“Good.” She said. “I was afraid you were.” She leaned to her backpack, causing in Levi an instant agitation, but when she opened it she took out… A thermos? She put in on a table between them and searched deeper, this time taking out two cups, and handing Levi one of them once she filled them. “I brought tea.” This, obviously, drew Levi’s attention.
Whatever was in his cup, it didn’t smell like tea. It didn’t smell like anything he could think of and he looked sceptically at the weird woman, but she took a big sip and smiled, so he decided to risk a sip too. It was hot, fruity, sweet and disgusting, but having nothing in his mouth since lunch he decided he shouldn’t complain. They were sipping for a while in silence when Levi’s empty stomach made a particularly loud noise and he felt hotness on his face, because this sounded more like…
“Oh, I have food too!” The woman said, because that was how weird hippie people were, Levi thought, and didn’t have power to protest when she offered him half of her sandwich that, unlike the disgusting crime against tea, was fine. He ate it in silence, still not sure how he ended up in this situation, and feeling awkward as he didn’t know what to say other than “thanks”. But the woman didn’t seem bothered, packed the thermos and cups back, and smiled.
“So…” she said “…when’s out next flight?”
The fuck what? If Levi was still sipping the gross tea, he’d choke.
“Our next flight?” Or rather just: “Next flight?”
“Yeah?” The woman said, looking at him the same way she did the first time, without glasses. “We missed the first one, didn’t we?”
“We?”
We?
We!
And that lead him to the terrible realisation.
“Are you Hange then?”
“Yes?” She said, now looking really concerned, as if Levi was particularly stupid. “Wait a minute.” She said, and her eyes widened, the clearly indication that up until this moment she’d been convinced Levi knew who she was. “You didn’t recognise me.” She said.
“How the fuck could I recognize you if it’s the first time I see you? You didn’t show up to the meeting!” He heard his own voice slightly going up. The fuck? The shit was happening here?!
“I had to do something before leaving, I thought you’d wait for me, sorry.” Hange said, not sounding sorry for slightest.
“You thought I’d wait for you three hours?”
“Well…”
“Forget it. How did you know how I looked like anyway?” He asked, because that, if anything, was concerning. She shouldn’t have.
“I searched it.” Hange shrugged, as if it was the most ordinary thing in the word. She searched him. No matter how little he was supposed to know about her, he started getting an idea anyway. There must have been a reason she wasn’t just flying on her own and Levi was probably just the closest to fucking up he’d ever been. Absolutely fucking fantastic!
He took out his laptop again to buy another ticket for Hange for the same flight and he could feel her eyes on himself while he was clicking, as if she was trying to decide something.
“So when you woke up next to me you must have thought I was a complete stranger!” She said eventually.
“Yes.” He said slowly.
"And that I was some kind of a weird psycho."
"Yes." Levi repeated, not sure what the was was for.
Hange chuckled.
“I’m glad you don’t think that anymore.”
Levi mover his eyes from the screen to her.
“And what makes you think I don’t?” He asked, and rose an eyebrow. “Because normal people usually molest those they see for the first time to show they’re what? Friendly?”
“I didn’t molest you!” Hange protested, but her outrage was made up.
“Oh, no. No! You only trapped me in my sleep and didn’t want to let go. That’s a completely different thing! Thanks for making me realise!”
“Don’t be so dramatic! We’re assigned to each other for three years, you’d have to get used to it anyway. I had to do that to make sure you wouldn’t go somewhere when I was sleeping, what’s the big deal?”
Levi looked at her sceptically.
“I’m not paid to be your pillow.” It’s gonna be long three years, he didn’t say out loud.
“And?”
“You could at least wash your hair! When was the last time you did that?”
“Does that matter?” She asked, confused. “Cause I don’t think I remember.”
“It’s Easter! We should do something!” Hanji said.
“Why? It’s a holiday for children,” Levi replied.
He did have a point. Easter, was mainly for hiding candy filled eggs for children to find. What were two grown ass adults going to do?
“Well we could have our own egg hunt or make Easter baskets!” Hanji said.
“I’m not too big a fan of sweets,” Levi replied.
Hanji flopped on his lap.
“You’re no fun!” she whined.
“We aren’t children idiot,” Levi replied.
Hanji pouted and had little tears in her eyes.
“Okay! Fine!” Levi said.
“What do you want to do?”
“Well, let’s get a basket of candy and then we can cuddle on the couch and watch a movie!” Hanji replied.
“….All right,” Levi said.
“But LIMIT your sugar intake.”
“Come on! It’s one of the few days where I can splurge on eating candy or chocolate!” Hanji whined.
“Okay, okay!” Levi said.
“But only for today.”
“Yahoooo!” Hanji exclaimed.
Levi smiled slightly. He liked seeing her happy. Hanji grabbed her jacket and purse.
“Where are you going? I thought we had Easter fun to do?” Levi asked.
“I need to get some Easter candy and chocolate bunnies and baskets!” Hanji said.
“I’ll be back before you know it!”
Levi looked in the freezer.
“While you’re there, can you pick up some strawberry cheesecake ice cream?” he asked.
Hanji blinked and stared at him.
“You like THAT flavor of ice cream?” she asked rather surprised.
“Yes,” Levi replied.
“That’s interesting…” Hanji muttered.
“What are you mumbling about?” Levi said.
“Just never took you for a strawberry cheesecake type person, especially in ice cream,” Hanji replied.
“I bought it on a whim thinking that it was a weird flavor you might like,” Levi said.
“It was like 3AM one night and I had a craving for something sweet, yet the only thing we had was that ice cream. Figured might as well try it and turned out it wasn’t terrible. I still prefer a more simple one but if we’re going to have a movie night, thought we could have that ice cream.”
Hanji kissed his cheek.
“You’re too cute,” she said.
“Tch, I’m not cute.” Levi grumbled, his cheeks a bit red.
“You are to me,” Hanji replied.
“I’ll be back soon!”
She grabbed her car keys and headed out. Levi made some tea and sat at the table.
----------
Hanji walked about the store gathering what she needed. Her basket was full of sweet goodies, two Easter baskets, and a card for Levi. She headed over to the frozen section. Hanji carefully scanned the ice cream section but there was hardly any left.
“Excuse me,” she called to a worker.
“How can I help miss?” they asked.
“Well, I was looking for a strawberry cheesecake ice cream but I don’t see it. Do you have any by chance?” Hanji replied.
“Ah, sorry. Our freezer had a malfunction yesterday and we had to throw out almost all of our products due to them thawing,” the worker said.
“We’ll be fully stocked by next week though.”
“Ah, I see, well thank you,” Hanji replied.
She started to go towards checkout.
----------
Levi was reading a book when his phone rang.
“Hello,” he answered.
“Hey Levi!” Hanji replied.
“Everything all right?” Levi asked.
Hanji didn’t call him too often so it worried him a bit.
“Yes, I’m fine,” Hanji replied.
“Just calling to let you know that the store is all out of the ice cream you wanted.”
“No worries, I’ll just go get it,” Levi said.
“I can go to another store, I’m already out,” Hanji replied.
“No, it’s all right, gives me a chance to stretch my legs,” Levi said.
“If you’re sure you want to,” Hanji replied.
“Yeah I’ll get it,” Levi said.
“All right, see you at home later,” Hanji replied.
“See you at home,” Levi said.
He hung up and got ready to leave. Levi wanted to get Hanji a card and some flowers as well. He locked the house and headed out.
----------
Hanji stood in line, ready to get home. She hoped to set up before Levi got back. She felt a tap on her shoulder.
“Excuse me, but you dropped this,” a male said.
Hanji turned around. Behind her was a very tall and slim man who appeared to be well-built. He had short, coarse-looking dark hair that reached to his neck and a thin beard along his jawline. He looked to be a middle-aged man with wrinkles around his eyes, which were small and piercing. The man was wearing a simple white shirt with a black tie that wasn’t fully done up, and a large black overcoat that reached past his knees. He also had a bowler hat with a white band around it. His expression was weird, a scowl but he wasn’t talking as if he was annoyed.
“Oh, uh thanks,” Hanji replied.
She took the box of candy eggs from him.
“Shopping for someone special?” the man asked.
“My boyfriend and I are having a little Easter party tonight,” Hanji replied.
“Sounds fun,” the man replied.
“Well I hope you have a wonderful evening.”
He tipped his hat to her and walked off.
“Weird…” Hanji thought.
She got checked-out, paid and left. Hanji didn’t notice the shadow that followed her. She drove home and parked, glad to see that Levi was still out. She gathered all the bags and headed inside. Hanji tapped the door with her foot to close it; before it closed the shadow following her slipped in.
“Phew! Heavier load than I anticipated,” Hanji said.
She put away all the groceries and got her Easter baskets all ready to go. Her card for Levi and a special tea placed right in the front of his basket.
“Well that outta make a fine Easter basket but I got a better idea for a gift,” came a male voice.
Hanji spun around. Leaning casually against the wall was the man from the store.
“Who the heck are you?! How did you get into my house?!” Hanji demanded.
“Heh surprised Levi hasn’t mentioned me yet,” the man replied, casually walking towards her.
“Name’s Kenny, I’m his uncle. Also, it would be wise to make sure you’re not followed into your home while walking in.”
Hanji grabbed her phone and called Levi. Kenny grabbed it from her.
“Now, now, I don’t want ya’ ruining his surprise missy,” he said.
“Let go!” Hanji exclaimed.
“Calm yer’ yelling! I ain’t gonna do nothing bad,” Kenny said.
“You broke into my house and now are holding me captive!” Hanji replied.
“Broke into your house yes, the captive part, no!” Kenny said.
“All I’m doing is dressing ya’ up for your boyfriend.”
----------
“Hanji, I’m home,” Levi said walking inside.
He heard a thud and running footsteps.
“Hanji?” Levi said.
He put the bag of ice cream and other items on the counter. More noises came from the living room.
“Hanji what’s going on?” Levi asked as he headed over there.
“D-don’t come in here!” Hanji replied.
Levi continued on in. Right as he walked in, Hanji was running about trying to find a place to hide.
“D-don’t look! It’s embarrassing!” she exclaimed.
Levi froze dead in his steps. There she was, standing in the middle of the room in a bunny suit, ears, tail, black stockings and black heels. This wasn’t your average idea of a bunny suit; this was a full on Playboy-esque bunny suit. Purple velvet for the main torso part, white and pale pink on the ears, the tail was white as well.
“What happened?” Levi asked.
“S-some creep came in here and forcibly dressed me in this! Then dumped all my clothes in the mud so I had nothing to change into!” Hanji replied.
“WHO was in our house?” Levi said.
“Said his name was Kenny, your uncle…” Hanji replied, doing her best to try and cover herself.
“That pervert tch.” Levi grumbled.
“C-can you not look?” Hanji asked her face red.
“Hang here for a minute,” Levi replied.
He left. Several minutes later he came back. Hanji blinked looked at him.
“Levi…what the…” she stammered.
Levi had come back in wearing a grey bunny kigurumi. He didn’t feel all that “manly” in it but he figured if Hanji was embarrassed, he would be as well.
“Well it’s Easter s-so we should both be in a bunny suit of sorts,” Levi said.
Hanji laughed a bit.
“You look ridiculous and I want you to wear that all the time!” she said with a grin.
“No, only tonight,” Levi replied.
“Awww,” Hanji pouted.
“Okay, maybe I’ll get a variety of them and wear them on special occasions,” Levi replied.
“But only if you wear this for me more often.”
He smirked and Hanji blushed even more.
“W-well I suppose it’s a fair deal,” she replied.
“Good, we have ourselves a deal then,” Levi said.
“Now…”
He walked back to the kitchen and returned shortly after.
“Go change into this, I think you’ll find it more comfortable and you can borrow a pair of my boxers until I get your clothes cleaned up,” Levi said.
He handed her a purple bunny kigurumi.
“Awww you got one for me?” Hanji said taking it.
“Well I didn’t expect you to be dressed in thatwhen I got home and I thought I’d give you some extra Easter fun by having us wear these,” Levi replied.
“You’re seriously the best Levi!” Hanji said hugging him.
“Only for you,” Levi replied.
“Now go get changed and we can start our mini celebration.”
Hanji ran off and came back shortly after.
“I’m ready!” she said.
Levi smiled. He walked to her, pulled her head down and kissed her.
“Happy Easter Hanji,” Levi said.
She kissed him back.
“Happy Easter Levi,” Hanji said.
They got their baskets, ice cream and cards. Levi and Hanji had a lovely night watching fun movies, eating all the sweets they could and cuddling on the couch. They eventually ended up all snuggled together, sound asleep on the couch.
