etched glass. i think i managed to capture viktor’s longing for yuuri pretty beautifully if i do say so myself. selkie aus are super fun idk why i never wrote one before!
“I’m afraid we don’t have another bed and it gets cold here, so you’ll have to share with me,” Viktor said, grabbing an extra blanket.
Yuuri had his ear against one of the clocks, listening to the sound reverberating inside.
“Yes, it’s very entertaining, but here, to bed!” Viktor summoned him.
Yuuri crawled in bed and then immediately put his head on Viktor’s chest, tapping his finger in time to the beat. He pointed at the clock and then placed a hand over Viktor’s chest. Viktor’s heart began to beat wildly and his stomach churned and he couldn’t quite figure out why. Yuuri lifted his head and lay down on his pillow facing Viktor. Viktor rested his head and didn’t dare take his eyes off of Yuuri, but sleep won over and soon he drifted off dreaming of black water under the ice.
In the morning he was gone. Viktor’s borrowed clothes were left delicately placed on the chair, but his place beside Viktor was empty. Viktor cried into Makkachin’s fur that night after searching fruitlessly for the stranger.

Yeah. Stoic older person and a younger, confident person--age gaps in general tbh. Pairings with real obstacles in the way (social standing, different sides of a conflict, different species etc) that they overcome anyway because they are just that into each other.

It’s nice, although I have trouble grasping the dynamic between Harry and Merlin; they barely spent any time together in the movie, and we can speculate about what great friends (or more) they were, but we honestly don’t know. That being said, hartwin and merwin are both really nice plausible ships, so completing the circle isn’t too much of a stretch.
As with eruriren, I’m not fond of ‘two older guys in an established relationship dominate a younger one between them’ trope, but Eggsy as a catalyst for getting them to act on unacknowledged feelings is nice, as is Eggsy being the one to extend a partnership out to include a third. Or an age reversal AU in which older!Eggsy takes two unruly geniuses under his wing (or maybe they seduce him.)
It’s good stuff. Fingers crossed the upcoming movie gives us some more material to work with between the three of them.

I don’t know why it isn’t a bigger thing, focusing on the entire pack. Just Another Werewolf AU by YatoJaeger (although still having Alphas/Betas/Omegas, albeit in an entirely non-sexual context) has really sweet pack dynamics and is the only werewolf AU that I’ve come across that does that and is, therefore, kind of the only one I actually liked (It’s a good fic. Incomplete, but fucking hilarious).
But yeah, I’d like to. But let’s face it, not anytime soon. Not until I finish all my WIPs, take a long deserved extended vacation, cry, and forget all my vows to never begin another multi.
