Ehhh, no.

I think the character that has suffered for at least 100 lives is Levi Ackerman. Levi, the one who saw his mom die as a kid; who was left alone in the world with hungry and fear.

The one who saw Kenny get away and left him alone when he was still a child.

The one who saw Isabelle and Farlan die. The two most important people in his early age. The two that weren’t his friends but his family.

The one who saw countless of camarades been eaten by titans.

The one who saw his elite team been brutaly murdered by the female titan. The ones he trusted the most. The one he couldn’t save.

The one who had to leave the bodies of his friends so he could save the rest of the SC.

The one who lost team mates as Mike.

Who lost Erwin. His liegue. The one who presumably he had an Ackerbond. A BOND that make the Ackermans furiously protective of their people. He lost his liegue so he could save Armin, Eren’s friend.

The one who had to kill fellow camarades. Friends. Team.

The one who lost Hange...

Levi has all the reasons to kill every single one of the warriors. He has all the reasons to lost his mind and kill people on rage. He could just say “fuck it all” and accept a genocide.

But he doesn’t.

The one who has lost so much. The who continues to lose people important in his live. The one who’s live is in terrible pain from all of his injuries.

He still fights. He still fights to stop Eren from his genocide. HE STILL FIGHTS even when he is barely alive. He fights so others could live.

He is fighting for life.

So tell me again how Eren’s pain is a valid motive for his genocide. I dare you.

Royal Rivetra Headcanon (Canonverse AU... like, really AU)

Petra is a princess in the SNK world but she’s from a different nation outside of Paradis Island

Her nation is not the warmongering type but it’s rich with resources. They’ve mostly played on the defense and never tried to go to war against other countries. 

Since her country is filled with rare resources, nations like Marley do try to invade them. They have a strong military force so they’re able to push back until recently because it’s not as strong as Marley’s. 

Her nation got word of what’s happening in Paradis Island and they think it would be best if they team up with Paradis instead, hoping that an alliance can protect their nation. 

The deal is that they lend Paradis their military force (which is better than what the Eldians currently have) while Paradis can defend them with their titan ability + they are also exempted if in case they do use the Rumbling. 

Petra’s 2nd in line for the throne since her cousin is the true heir so she mostly plays a diplomatic role. 

Her nation sent her to Paradis Island to talk about the specifics of the alliance and since this is a delicate situation and the first of its kind (besides Hizuru), both her nation and Paradis bears the responsibility to keep her safe.  

So yup, they assign Captain Levi Ackerman as her guard. 🧡 🖤

Actually, Hange volunteers Levi because she saw how the shorter man did a slight double take when he first saw the princess lol

He’s the best option because he’s still the strongest in Paradis + the scouts are a bit on the down low right now after retaking Shiganshina. 

Princess Petra doesn’t really like the idea of being babysat guarded 24/7 but has since come to terms that it’s a part of being royalty.

Still, she looks at the bright side and uses this as an opportunity to learn more about titans, Eldians and Paradis because she’s genuinely curious. 

The captain was a bit cold at first, either ignoring her or was wary if she has an ulterior motive. 

One time she got really bored while he’s guarding her and she asks him to have tea with her. She brought tea that is native to her country and our boy Levi really thought it was poison at first and flat out accused her haha my god gain some social skills dude

He ends up drinking it and loved it

Since then, they’d have tea time during the evenings and he does answer some of her questions. 

She never stops talking about her home and it softens Levi a bit when he’s reminded that not everyone outside the island is their enemy and he gives himself a second or two to hope that maybe there might come a time when he gets to travel outside of Paradis

Then he mentally punches himself and tries to bring himself back to reality because he’s Levi lol

He also witnesses how she talks and makes deals with officials and was amazed at how eloquent and graceful she is. She’s cute and sweet but she does have a sharp tongue that can put someone in their place if needed.

Eventually, the time they spent together goes beyond just “Guarding the Princess” duties. When they have the time, he takes her to see the ocean. 

He also introduces him to Paradis’ own tea variants and takes her to his favorite tea shops. 

Jean, Connie, Sasha and Hange teases him all the time about the princess. 

While Armin, Eren and Mikasa bonds with Petra the most bec: 

Armin - new knowledge!! What’s her nation like? “Tell us more Princess!!”

Eren - Wary at first but knows she and her nation truly isn’t a real threat. It gives him some comfort that not everyone is their enemy. 

Mikasa - Develops a strong bond with Petra because of her situation with Hizuru.

Whenever she needs to go back home, Levi sees her off because he is her guard. (yeah sure thing levi that’s the only reason)

Some of the soldiers blush whenever they see Princess Petra and they get a glare or a threat from Levi in return (again it’s his duty as her guard!!! there’s no other reason!!)

Fast forward to when the Survey Corps are forced to attack Marley to retrieve Eren, Princess Petra and Levi have their first kiss :3 

She knows that even though he’s the strongest in the island, this is the first time Levi is facing real military forces outside the walls. Her nation almost fell to Marley once and even though the world sees Eldians as monsters, she doesn’t want any nation to get completely crushed. 

As he was about to board the airship, she gathers up the courage and finally kisses him (in front of everyone by the way) and demands that he better come back. 

He asks, “Is that an order, Princess?” 

“You know damn well that it is, Captain.”
