Yall remember when SRRC had a video for us every week highlighting a special player? Or a video of the highlights from the pervious match? Yeah, me too! I looked forward to them. LEVY Films has been doing soccer videos for Washington teams for a while now and not just with Reign, but with Sounders, Washington Huskies and others.
Levy has an eye for slowing things down in his videos to showcase technique or just a moment that needs to be savored. All of this is amplified even more by the song selections. Take that snazzy beat from the Sky Blue at Reign FC highlights. So cool. After I had threatened to steal his iPod on numerous occasions, told me that all (most of them now that I’ve had the chance to actually compile them all together into a playlist of sorts) of the songs could be found on the various artist’s Soundcloud accounts.
So, now that the offseason is full on and I’m trying to deal with my withdraws, I found myself wanting to hear the songs attached to the videos. There are just chill enough to ride through the city or read a book to on their own. Which is why it’s so refreshing. I will admit; I had wanted to do an 8tracks for a while and this seemed like a good thing to come back to.

REIGN ON: NWSL Semifinal Match // Seattle Reign FC v Washington Spirit
Reign FC emerged victorious in its first playoff match: a 2-1 thriller against the Washington Spirit. After a scoreless first half the Spirit got on the board first with a close-range goal from Veronica Perez, but Reign FC responded with a PK from NWSL Golden Boot Winner Kim Little to even the score. After a Hope Solo saved a PK, Reign FC responded with the game-winning goal from Megan Rapinoe.
REIGN ON: Reign FC vs Portland Thorns FC Match Highlights
Seattle Reign FC ended the 2014 NWSL regular season with a hard-fought 0-1 loss on the road in Portland to Thorns FC. Despite the loss, Reign FC ended the season at the top of the table, 13 points ahead of 2nd place FC Kansas City.
