If you’ve never seen the Reign On series from Levy Films highlighting the 2014 Seattle season you really should bc it’s just pure art tbh. The music, the visuals, everything. It just really captures the feel of the team, the stadium, the movement of the game. It’s beautiful and I hope they do something like this again one day

I’m having a ton of fun working with these Matchwinners, so I figured why not show some love to my favorite club. I wish I could do the whole roster, such was my intent from the start of this card making adventure, but it’s literally impossible. I’ve done as many players as I can for now, I’m as content with that as I can. So with that in mind, I give you:

I love this team so much, and I’m so proud of them through everything that happened this year. I’m so proud of each of these girls, Merr (who isn’t here on this but I might have to do a second set) and Lou especially at the moment. We made it through this season how we could, onward and upward to better things next year.

I’m glad that I got that photo of Kendall to showcase that second kit, cause I love that shot so much. Also glad that, even though the selection process is entirely random, I got to show some love to Lady Reign herself with that award card.

Japanese International Midfielder Rumi Utsugi Signed by Seattle Reign FC — TheBold: Seattle Reign FC

Seattle Reign FC has signed Japanese international midfielder Rumi Utsugi, pending receipt of her International Transfer Certificate (ITC). Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We’ve had our eye on Rumi since the World Cup last year. She had a terrific tournament and showed she can perform in high-pressure situations against some of the world’s most talented players and teams,” said Reign FC general manager and coach Laura Harvey. “We believe Rumi’s experience with Japan and Montpellier make her well-suited to our style of play. She’ll add experience and depth to our midfield and backline, something that will be very helpful given the number of injuries we’ve been dealing with this season. We’re really excited to have her with the club.”

I’m nervous, I can’t lie about that. I can’t sit here and tell you that it doesn’t cross my mind, that I don’t worry about it, that I don’t think about it. When I plant and cut, take a touch to strike a ball, run up the stairs, or sit cross legged. But it’s part of it isn’t it? It’s part of coming back from a major injury, an injury that has kept me out of the game for months. It’s getting that confidence back, and feeling free again. It’s all part of training your body to remember these movements so often and so naturally, so your mind doesn’t have to.

Don’t worry, I’m enjoying it as well! I am back in National Team camp for the first time in months, and it feels like I haven’t missed a beat. The jokes with my teammates have come back as easy as throwing the boots on again. While I know their faces have brought a renewed energy for me, I have an inkling that feeling is mutual. Its starting to feel real. Really real. It’s time y’all. From this point forward I now consider myself in #RIOMode, and I think you should too!
