Ari cast a small smile down at it tan puppy as she yipped and bounced around a little at his feet. Not very hyper for a puppy but extremely for her; Ari raped quickly on the door as to return the hand to the small white box he'd temporarily balanced in the other and waited patiently for the door to be answered. Since spring as in the air, Ari had made cup cakes with chocolate covered almonds placed in the center of the icing to look like eggs in a nest, it seemed fitting at least at the time.
He’d left the bedroom the second day, but hadn’t found the means nor the energy to make it any further than the couches arranged in the center of the apartment's main room. They, at least, were ones from home, and he was content to lay there with the minimal comfort they brought, even when a knock sounded from the door. It was possible that it was his father, returning with groceries and arms too full to fiddle with the key. It was even more possible that it was the new doctor he was assigned to. Both options weren’t enough for him to leave - his father could work around the armful of bags sooner or later, and the doctor could wait another day.
Petalla answered the door instead, her greeting chirp swinging up in a whistle at the stranger. That made Levy lift his head from the pillow, and sit upright when he found that it was neither Christophe or anyone in a lab coat.
"…Can I help you?"
