Noemi wonders why her kids don't share their relationship problems with her. Do they really think she wouldn't understand just because she married her first love?

[Noemi's House; Tartosa, Italy]
LEWIS: Wow! Your mum’s house looks even lovelier after the renovation.
ANGEL: Doesn’t it? The place I share with Pavan doesn’t feel homey enough compared to this.
LEWIS: Put some Devin Villareal portraits on display. That will help.
[The intro from Corazones Unidos played.]
NOEMI: Ohhhh, they didn’t think to look for him there. But doesn’t Paola have a promise to keep?
[Noemi heard the sound of the front door unlocking.]
NOEMI: Oh, they’re here!
LEWIS: Gasp! Is that a rerun of Corazones Unidos??
NOEMI: You watched it, too? I bought the DVD set.
LEWIS: Señora Alegria, I am quite offended. Who doesn’t like Corazones Unidos?
ANGEL: Me. I still don’t get all the unnecessary drama.
LEWIS: You took drama classes and your boyfriend is an aspiring actor?
ANGEL: Novelas are something else entirely.
NOEMI: Don’t listen to him. How have you been, my new neighbor?
LEWIS: Way better now that I get to live in sunny Tartosa. Beautiful home, by the way.
NOEMI: Thank you! Would you like any cookies? Maybe some coffee?
LEWIS: I will never say no.
NOEMI: Angelito, where’s Pavan? I baked enough for him too.
ANGEL: He’s busy.
NOEMI: Oh, with what?
ANGEL: Work stuff.
[Lewis steered the conversation away before it got awkward. Ironically, he did so with his cringe jokes. Noemi was practically knee-slapping.]
[Out of all of Dulce’s Diced Junior friends, Lewis was the one Angel got along with the most. Alex was shy and usually only opened up when the topic turned to anime or skateboards. Rubiya was always cordial, but they didn’t have much in common.]
ANGEL: So what’s the coolest restaurant you critiqued back in Scotland?
LEWIS: By far, it has to be this spot where the menus looked like card binders, and each dish had its own “trading card.”
NOEMI: Ohhhhhh.
LEWIS: The food was not as memorable, though.
ANGEL: Yikes. You really can’t have it all, huh?
NOEMI: Excuse me, Erick just got home. You two keep chatting amongst yourselves!
NOEMI: Hi, cariño. Did you bring the salt?
ERICK: Dang it! I wrote it on my hand so I wouldn’t forget, but then I forgot to check my hand.
[Noemi rolled her eyes, laughing.]
ERICK: Wait.
[Erick leaned in, lowering his voice.]
ERICK: Is Pavan not here again? I thought he and Angel were supposed to help Lewis unpack.
NOEMI: No. Angel looked upset earlier, but Lewis seems to be cheering him up.
[Erick sighed.]
ERICK: Maybe he feels trapped. We should ask him to move back in. No shame in living with your parents.
NOEMI: Now I wish we didn’t take so much space from Angel and Dulce’s bedroom during the renovation...
NOEMI: Did we really need a larger bedroom and new bathroom to ourselves?
ERICK: We didn’t take away too much. The bathroom isn’t even large.
ERICK: And we have the snazzy laundry room now! That will reel him back in, right?
NOEMI: Hmm...
ERICK: Lewis!- Ah, a fellow fan of Corazones Unidos.
LEWIS: Let me help you put the groceries away. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can watch it.
ERICK: That’d be great, but I need to run back to the store for salt. I’ll explain what happened.
NOEMI: You know, if you and Pavan are having problems, you’re welcome to move back home.
ANGEL: Huh? Problems? What problems? We don’t have any problems.
NOEMI: I’m serious, I won’t even scold you for writing on your jeans. Don’t think I didn’t notice that...
ANGEL: It’s how I express myself, Ma.
NOEMI: Can you also express what’s going on with Pavan? If you don’t feel comfortable telling me, you have your father too.
ANGEL: You guys need salt, right? I’ll go buy it. Be right back.
Let's do this! (Finally!)
NOTE: Antoinette Wolff is from @deardiaryts4's Detective Wolff Story! Now, I know what you're thinking: "That's not Antoinette!"
No. It's not. I tried remaking her and that was the result </3 but anyway, Antoinette is here to save the day!!! She is amazing.
This post was a collab with Zen. She wrote all of Antoinette's lines :)
NOTE: For any new readers, Dulce was on a cooking competition show when she was much younger! It was based on Chopped Jr., lol. The first post of that is here. The SparkNotes of that arc is here.

Bonus scenes cuz we're on a lil time crunch:
[After Antonio’s conversation with Frankie, he decided he should not be make the final decisions for the remainder of the trial. He didn’t trust himself, so a new head was appointed by him: Antoinette Wolff.]
[The emergency meeting was about to begin. Antoinette was prepared despite being asked to take over less than 24 hours ago. She was always dependable and diligent.]
[Antonio knew he could confide in her. Still, to protect her from perjury, he didn’t go into full detail on how they retrieved the notebook.]
[Everyone was still settling down when something outside caught Antonio’s eye.]
[It looked like Dulce arrived.]
DULCE: Auntie Hilary, what do you mean you don’t want me to pay you back?
HILARY: It’s fine. I know you’ve been feeling guilty about what happened, but I couldn’t be prouder.
DULCE: What...?
HILARY: At least you didn’t end up marrying the guy. I’m still in my loveless marriage, but guess what? I think I’m feeling inspired to divorce Hector now.
TEODOR: Oye, where’s the Antonio fellow at? I feel like everyone has met him except for me! The family loves him.
DULCE: Oh, he’s at a meeting right now, Tío.
ANTOINETTE: ..I strongly believe that if we pursue this argument regarding Ms. Alegría’s case, we have this in the bag.
ANTOINETTE: I’ve emailed you all my research and findings surrounding this case. I suggest you read and re-read it ‘til you can memorize it like the back of your hand.
ANTOINETTE: Ms. Alegría is counting on us, and more importantly, Romero really needs our support right now.
ANTONIO: Thank you, Antoinette. You’re an exemplary leader with excellent strategies.
[Antonio turned his attention to the rest of the team.]
ANTONIO: Ms. Alegría’s Diced Junior competitors-turned-friends were to take the stand. However, now we have the notebook and will follow through with Antoinette’s new plan today and tomorrow. I will still be the one representing the client in court, too.
RUBIYA: I might not be taking the stand anymore, but I’m not about to miss out on this!
LEWIS: Is it really okay for Dulce to wear that outfit in court?
YOLTIC: Yes! Actually, the typical rules don’t apply to celebrities, even up-and-coming ones. If anything, dressing more traditionally counts against them.
ALEX: Del Sol Valley is weird.
RUBIYA: Yeah, there’s plenty of room at my place for you and Dulce! I’ll show you two all around Japan. Any places in particular you want to see?
DANI: I’d be happy with anything! Any places you want to see here in Del Sol Valley?
RUBIYA: Oooo any places with good tacos, really.
Oh....... so Alex was never a villain after all...?

Dulce: Well you gotta tell me now. You know what happened after my prom, then?
Lewis: Okay! You got me. Alex asked you out as a friend to your prom, but the truth is that they were still very much in love with you.
Lewis: Your cousin, nice lad by the way, told Alex that you didn’t have a date for the prom. I think your cousin was trying to play Cupid, but Alex didn’t quite get the memo. It was all done because they care about you. The last thing they wanted was to cause more harm. Alex isn’t very good at expressing their emotions either, so I’m sure they seemed dismissive of your feelings; but, the opposite was true.
Lewis: I say this with so much love for Alex, but they’re such a quiet person who wants to live a simple life. Everyone is going to know your name, Dulce, and I don’t think your lifestyles would be very compatible. You should see the way they freak out whenever someone sings "Happy Birthday" to them. They loathe attention.
Lewis: ..Are you upset?
Dulce: No, but it’s a lot to process. I really thought Alex was the one and I thought that for the longest time.
Dulce: I spent a while trying to chase the high I had with them. If anything, I’m glad you told me this. You are affirming something I didn’t want to admit myself.
Dulce: Good thing I found Caruso before I got into a toxic relationship! That would’ve been terrible.
Lewis: ...Right. That man hunk of yours.
Dulce: He’s awesome, isn’t he? I found someone who’s at my level! We’re going to be celebrity chefs together.
Lewis: He does have a famous-sounding name! What is that, anyway? His first or last name?
Dulce: Last. He doesn’t want to say his first name. He’s embarrassed about it, so I let it be.
Lewis: Uh huh...
Lewis: Hey! We never got the chance to cook together before, right? Why don’t we do that now?
Catching up on lost time <3

Even though Diced Junior is a competition show, there was never any ill will between the four young contestants: Dulce, Rubiya, Lewis, and Alex. It was less about competing against each other and more about competing altogether. It didn't matter who won, especially because they all deserved it. Dulce feels lucky to have been selected to be in the same episode as them. They were rooting for each other then and even now. Time to revive the group chat?
Note: We're not going to see Rubiya or Alex because of time stuff, but just know they are all in communication now :)

Dulce: You’re back!
Caruso: I am! How’d it go over here?
Lewis: It was lit AF!!! And I’m not talking about the stove [dances].
Dulce: [Laughs] That’s a good one!
Caruso: That’s amazing. Too bad we’re not moving here after all, so you can’t really see each other again for a while.
Dulce: Wait, why?
Lewis: [Swoops in]. Yes, please do elaborate and give us your logical explanation.
Lewis: The restaurant I did the interview at was awful. I don’t want to work at a place like that. I’d have a dead-end job there.
Lewis: Really??? I’ve eaten at basically every restaurant in this town. Which one did you go to?
Caruso: I already forgot the name. It’s irrelevant information to me now. We should really leave.
Dulce: Damn, that’s a bummer. You’re right though, we need to find a place where you have more opportunity to grow.
Dulce: Lewis, it was so nice seeing you again. Let’s keep in touch more.
Lewis: We definitely should! In fact, I hope you’re in constant communication with all of your friends and family members. At all times.
Dulce: Oh yes, absolutely.
Lewis: Please take care, wherever you go. I’m here if you need anything.
Dulce: Thank you. Same here.
Of course, Dulce had to spam a lil on her story.
