NOTE: I realized the end might sound ominous, but don't worry about Valeria!! I promise, she's fine on her own 💗 Antonio's concern is really just to show his character.
NOTE: Encanto-wise-style, the outfits of those sitting at the table are color-coded. The Alegrias (plus Pavan) are wearing yellow/brown, and the Medinas are wearing green/blue. Hilary, in red, is there because Dulce does love her.
NOTE: The post with Frankie's family tree is here. It's easier to use them for reference since they're in the middle of it all.

[The Medina Home; Tartosa, Italy]
[Dulce scheduled the family meeting for the next day to make an annoucement. Mostly everyone was excited that Antonio would join. The two waited at the Medina Home as everyone trickled in after work.]
[Antonio raised his eyebrows at the irony. Their grandfathers had once been business partners until his betrayed hers. Two generations later, their descendants were joining forces. This time for “Barbie lemonade stand” instead of a resort.]
[Perhaps this “enterprise” would have a happier ending.]
[Outside the room, Dulce listened to the excited chatter below. She was letting her opinionated loved ones get certain things out of their systems, especially Hilary who was in the middle of a painfully drawn-out divorce. Don’t let the ring fool you.]
HILARY: AHEM!! Where are Dulce and- what’s his name again? Antony?
NOEMI: I know you missed Dulce dearly, but please relax. I’m sure they’re working up the courage to announce they’re officially a couple.
GUILLERMO: Hilary, his name is Antonio. He’s a cool guy.
[Palmira nodded.]
PALMIRA: He has a nice smile and a sparkle in his eyes.
ESPERANZA: Yeah, he’s not as much of a stuck-up square as I thought he’d be.
GUILLERMO: You’re one to talk...
ANGEL: When he didn’t show up to Dulce’s celebration party after the trial, I didn’t know what to think. I wondered, ‘does he not like her’ or ‘is he scared of looking unprofessional’? But, I’m glad things worked out for them.
PAVAN: Me too-
HILARY: Unprofessional, yes! He looks like a delinquent. I don’t care how well he cleans up for court, he can’t fool me.
NOEMI: I thought you liked him?
HILARY: That was before he started getting romantically involved with Dulce.
BEN: Mrs. Laurent, I believe pets and children are excellent judges of character, and Valeria adores him already. That settles it for me.
IRENE: She was reading one of her favorite books to him.
NOEMI: Let’s not forget he wanted to take the case pro bono when he absolutely didn’t have to. You pushed him to accept your money because you have more than you know what to do with.
[Hilary grumbled that it was probably all for show and that she only wants the best for Dulce.]
ERICK: Anyway.. Antonio seems like a good balance for Bug. More reserved, but still interesting and ambitious enough to keep up with her.
TEODOR: And he has his own established career. We want someone respectable and trustworthy for her. Unlike that that ex-boyfriend.
HILARY: I suppose that’s a valid point-
[While Hilary was speaking, Erick leaned toward Noemi and lowered his voice.]
ERICK: Honey, it’s just... I can’t help but wonder.. What if there’s more to this announcement?
NOEMI: You mean like-
GUILLERMO: OH MY GOSH. What if she’s pregnant???
[Hilary was too stunned to speak.]
IRENE: Mijo!
GUILLERMO: What?? I can’t be inquisitive??
TEODOR: It’s impolite to interrupt.
ESPERANZA: Yeah and would a baby really be the worst thing? Damn, Guillermo.
NOEMI: Okay, okay! Let’s settle down. If there were a pregnancy, Erick and I would support our daughter. Not that she needs financial assistance, but it still takes a village, right? We’d see the situation as a blessing.
ERICK: And we’re not in a position to judge an unplanned pregnancy. In fact, nobody is because it doesn’t matter.
ANGEL: I’d do anything for that baby!
GUILLERMO: No, same! The idea just shocks me. That’s all.
ESPERANZA: She’s not a teen anymore.
[While everyone else continued talking....]
PAVAN: Psst, babe. Maybe we could revisit the idea of moving to Del Sol Valley? We could help her any time. I could find the time in between acting gigs.
ANGEL: I thought we already dropped that topic..
PALMIRA: Aw, Valeria could use a playmate. Even though Antonio makes a good one, hehe.
BEN: It could be an engagement announcement, though.
HILARY: Oh my heavens!! Certainly not. It’s far too early.
DULCE: Alright, that’s enough of that..
HILARY (from downstairs): She’ll need a prenup!
ANTONIO: Where are the cups? The customers will be arriving soon.
VALERIA: Found them!
[Dulce walked in, smiling.]
ANTONIO: Wow. These cups are tiny. Dulce, are these not hazardous for children her age?
DULCE: No, the box said for ages three and up.
ANTONIO: Oh. I thought she was one.
VALERIA (giggling): I not a baby.
DULCE: Of course not! Now, Miss Not-A-Baby, do I have your permission to borrow Antonio? We might take a while.
Before Dulce schedules the family meeting, she will let Noemi have her moment! You can find the "used footage" here 🙂↕️🙂↕️ Thank you again, Kirsty, for having her on the show :)

[Noemi's House; Tartosa, Italy]
[When Dulce arrived in Tartosa, Noemi was pleasantly surprised. Her daughter flew in extra early to help film her segment for Dating Deanna’s baking contest! She wasn’t expected for another three weeks.]
[Dulce must’ve been eager to dive into this project. Noemi certainly was. Being on television for millions to see was daunting, but lately she was learning to be more proud of her roots and accomplishments.]
[As experienced as Dulce was with filming content, she still brought in reinforcements: her brother’s boyfriend, Pavan. He studied acting in school but dabbled in directing, too.]
PAVAN: Okay – yes, perfect! Leave that light on, Angel.
NOEMI: This isn’t too bright?
DULCE: It’ll translate nicely on camera.
NOEMI: If you guys say so. You’re the experts.
ERICK: But you’re the baking expert. Don’t forget that!
[Dulce’s dad had absolutely no idea how to work the equipment. He made a better hype man.]
ANGEL: What do you mean you don’t want to be the third camera operator?? Do it for Devin! You love her!
LEWIS: Exactly! I cannot handle that kind of pressure, mate!
[Oh yeah, for some reason Lewis was invited? Not that Dulce was complaining about these two becoming besties.]
DULCE: Are we good to roll?
PAVAN: Mrs. Alegria, how are we feeling?
ANGEL + LEWIS: Rock! Paper! Scissors! Shoot!
ANGEL: A tie again??
[Both laughed.]
LEWIS: Co-cameramen?
ANGEL: Okayyy.
NOEMI: I was up all night rehearsing. I think I’m ready.
Noemi wonders why her kids don't share their relationship problems with her. Do they really think she wouldn't understand just because she married her first love?

[Noemi's House; Tartosa, Italy]
LEWIS: Wow! Your mum’s house looks even lovelier after the renovation.
ANGEL: Doesn’t it? The place I share with Pavan doesn’t feel homey enough compared to this.
LEWIS: Put some Devin Villareal portraits on display. That will help.
[The intro from Corazones Unidos played.]
NOEMI: Ohhhh, they didn’t think to look for him there. But doesn’t Paola have a promise to keep?
[Noemi heard the sound of the front door unlocking.]
NOEMI: Oh, they’re here!
LEWIS: Gasp! Is that a rerun of Corazones Unidos??
NOEMI: You watched it, too? I bought the DVD set.
LEWIS: Señora Alegria, I am quite offended. Who doesn’t like Corazones Unidos?
ANGEL: Me. I still don’t get all the unnecessary drama.
LEWIS: You took drama classes and your boyfriend is an aspiring actor?
ANGEL: Novelas are something else entirely.
NOEMI: Don’t listen to him. How have you been, my new neighbor?
LEWIS: Way better now that I get to live in sunny Tartosa. Beautiful home, by the way.
NOEMI: Thank you! Would you like any cookies? Maybe some coffee?
LEWIS: I will never say no.
NOEMI: Angelito, where’s Pavan? I baked enough for him too.
ANGEL: He’s busy.
NOEMI: Oh, with what?
ANGEL: Work stuff.
[Lewis steered the conversation away before it got awkward. Ironically, he did so with his cringe jokes. Noemi was practically knee-slapping.]
[Out of all of Dulce’s Diced Junior friends, Lewis was the one Angel got along with the most. Alex was shy and usually only opened up when the topic turned to anime or skateboards. Rubiya was always cordial, but they didn’t have much in common.]
ANGEL: So what’s the coolest restaurant you critiqued back in Scotland?
LEWIS: By far, it has to be this spot where the menus looked like card binders, and each dish had its own “trading card.”
NOEMI: Ohhhhhh.
LEWIS: The food was not as memorable, though.
ANGEL: Yikes. You really can’t have it all, huh?
NOEMI: Excuse me, Erick just got home. You two keep chatting amongst yourselves!
NOEMI: Hi, cariño. Did you bring the salt?
ERICK: Dang it! I wrote it on my hand so I wouldn’t forget, but then I forgot to check my hand.
[Noemi rolled her eyes, laughing.]
ERICK: Wait.
[Erick leaned in, lowering his voice.]
ERICK: Is Pavan not here again? I thought he and Angel were supposed to help Lewis unpack.
NOEMI: No. Angel looked upset earlier, but Lewis seems to be cheering him up.
[Erick sighed.]
ERICK: Maybe he feels trapped. We should ask him to move back in. No shame in living with your parents.
NOEMI: Now I wish we didn’t take so much space from Angel and Dulce’s bedroom during the renovation...
NOEMI: Did we really need a larger bedroom and new bathroom to ourselves?
ERICK: We didn’t take away too much. The bathroom isn’t even large.
ERICK: And we have the snazzy laundry room now! That will reel him back in, right?
NOEMI: Hmm...
ERICK: Lewis!- Ah, a fellow fan of Corazones Unidos.
LEWIS: Let me help you put the groceries away. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can watch it.
ERICK: That’d be great, but I need to run back to the store for salt. I’ll explain what happened.
NOEMI: You know, if you and Pavan are having problems, you’re welcome to move back home.
ANGEL: Huh? Problems? What problems? We don’t have any problems.
NOEMI: I’m serious, I won’t even scold you for writing on your jeans. Don’t think I didn’t notice that...
ANGEL: It’s how I express myself, Ma.
NOEMI: Can you also express what’s going on with Pavan? If you don’t feel comfortable telling me, you have your father too.
ANGEL: You guys need salt, right? I’ll go buy it. Be right back.
Dulce has now been in Italy, Scotland, the U.S., Japan, and Mexico 💛 She remembers when she used to spy on tourists while riding around on her bike. And now she's a "fancy person from Del Sol Valley" about to attend a destination wedding!

NOTE: Here we have "Vecindad Mexicana" by Aceroladagamer, "Vista del Amora Complex" by chrissieyt, and "Mercado Mexicano" by Fritosaurio!
[Tenamaxtlán, Jalisco, México]
DULCE: How did it take us this long to visit your hometown?
NOEMI: I don’t know. Showing you and your brother around has been worth the wait, though.
[Part of Dulce’s “Culinary Curator” aspiration was tasting local dishes in different regions of the world. Mexico was a priority, but she couldn’t imagine going without her family. With their schedules aligning, and Dani and Yoltic’s wedding in Ciudad Enamorada on the horizon, the timing was perfect.]
DULCE: The way you talk about spots we’ve been to... It’s like I’m stepping into the memories you had with your mom. It makes me feel closer to the both of you.
DULCE: The vecindad you lived in.
DULCE: The bakery and cafe where your mom worked.
DULCE: The mercado.
NOEMI: I might’ve moved to another continent, but my heart is still rooted here.
It's anything but quiet in the small yet close-knit town of Tenamaxtlán! As the moon rises, more and more people will come out to socialize. The night is still young 🌕

NOTE: Here we have the "Latin American Village" by Phicorleone!
[Tenamaxtlán, Jalisco, México]
[Tenamaxtlán roughly translates to “Place of Tenamaxtles.” Tenamaxtles were stones, used in groups of three, to form a stable base for cooking over a fire. Isn’t that a perfect place for a family of foodies to come from?]
ERICK: Live music!
NOEMÍ: Kids, you should be feeling the power of mariachi flowing through your veins.
ÁNGEL: Because Jalisco is considered the birthplace of it?
NOEMÍ: Of course! Well, historians can’t pinpoint the exact origin, but we Jaliscienses like to claim it. Can you blame us? It’s rich in both sound and history. A blend of Indigenous Mexican, European, and African influences. Over time, it became a symbol of unity and resilience for México, something we take great pride in.
DULCE: It is beautiful. A strong voice with that much emotion really speaks to the soul.
NOEMÍ: Ángel, you must’ve inherited your vocal abilities from our ancestors.
DULCE: Me too!
NOEMÍ: Yeah.
DULCE: I love how the happy songs fill you with immense joy, and the sad ones are devastating. These artists don’t hold back from expression. I admire that.
ÁNGEL: Part of that intense dichotomy comes from the syncopated beats.
DULCE: ...Meaning?
ÁNGEL: It’s about stressing the weak part of the beat. Our brains don’t expect it, so it keeps you on edge. Keep it steady, and it builds tension or a sense of longing. Release it, and you make the listener feel pleased and euphoric.
ERICK: Oh! Don’t you hear that, Dulce?
ÁNGEL: What? A phone?? Is it mine?
ERICK: I meant the beats you were just talking about, bud.
[Now playing El Milagro de Tus Ojos by Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán]
ÁNGEL: ...
[The band transitioned into another song.]
DULCE: I’ve always liked this one growing up! Who wrote it?
NOEMÍ: I don’t know, but I associate it with Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán. They’ve been around since 1897.
ERICK: How? Vampires aren’t real.
[Erick joked as he teasingly raised his eyebrow at Noemí, making her laugh.]
NOEMÍ: The members eventually retire, but only the best of the best can take the empty spots.
ERICK: Come sway to the song with me. The lyrics remind me of how I feel whenever I look into your eyes.
Before heading back to Tartosa, Noemi wanted to visit the Ciudad Enamorada Cathedral. Remember, folks: flash photography is not permitted, and please be mindful of the ongoing religious services 😌
NOTE: This is the "Mexico City Cathedral" build by Fritosaurio! I've decided to make Ciudad Enamorada my save's version of Ciudad Mexico because my lovely mutual @usonofallama has told me it's very CDMX coded. I've never been there before, but upon further research, I definitely agree! She knows what she's talking about because she actually lives in Mexico. I've visited the motherland (particularly Jalisco) countless times, but I obviously don't know as much as she does!
[A few days later, Noemi and Erick hosted a small gathering before Dulce and Antonio’s return to Del Sol Valley! Of course, this was after the successful completion of ‘Barbie Lemonade Stand.’ No promises would be left broken.]
HILARY: As I told Antonio, I respect him for his boldness! He’s got nerve!
[Dulce bounced from group to group, talking to everyone, but she couldn’t help sneaking glances at her BOYFRIEND!!]
PALMIRA: Sweetie, you need to wait to have dessert.
VALERIA: Tio Erick eating cake.
HILARY: The one I brought?? I didn’t take a picture of it yet!
[The new addition didn’t feel out of place.]
ANTONIO: Oops.
TEODOR: It’s okay, I think this table is slanted. Look-
[And despite two people missing, the get-together felt just as complete and meaningful.]
ESPERANZA: My friends don’t think someone plain like me goes with a superstar like Amethyst.
DULCE (smacks her): Girl, what!? You two make sense together. You heal brains, and she heals souls.
PALMIRA: So you know my sister?
ANTONIO: Your sibling, yes.
PALMIRA (smiles): My sibling. I can’t wait to meet them.
Party time! 🥳 Everyone ate some delicious food, mingled, and overall had a fun time. We could say it was like three different worlds collided in one room, but perhaps "blended seamlessly" is more accurate than "collided."
But yes... somebody IMPORTANT was missing...... ❤️🩹 my ginger king, Lewis!! Yes, I know, I'm an accurate mind reader 😌 He never showed up; maybe he couldn't take too much time off work, but we appreciate his support.
Also, Mia had a nice conversation with Dulce. She explained that if Dulce ever wondered why she never reached out before, it's because she felt like she didn't need to. She believes Dulce is on the right track, exactly where she needs to be. And because of that, Mia is very proud of her.
