This one is difficult because there are so many songs I love a lot that I think everyone should listen to. But I’m picking this one because I think more people should listen to The Backfires and this my favorite of their songs

hi i love your roommate leon stuff and was wondering if reader ever gets like a really look at what his job actually is and how that goes if she does? or does he keep her as far away from it as he can while praying nothing puts her in a situation where she has to see what he does for work?

this is an interesting question because I do think Leon wants to keep you as far away from the reality that is his life as he can, but on the other hand he acknowledges that you 1) are not a child and 2) can’t be protected from everything.

that being said I think it’s one of those things that comes up after they first start acknowledging romantic feelings. he probably gets a call while they’re in the middle of something or she asks why he’s got three different locked cases under his bed after she sees them while picking up clothes that had been scattered around his floor. he gives a very very concise crash course into what he does and what he’s experienced, glossing over “zombies aren’t just a scary movie plot point”

I also think it’s very vital to the relationship development that you see him suplex some infected so yeah I do think that you get to see him in action. which he definitely hates but like…that’s life baybeee

carrots ✦ what is your ideal romantic getaway?

This answer differs due to varying interests. For ME I think going out to the countryside and just existing away from our careers is romantic enough - nothing special just us being together and enjoying the sight of empty fields and starry skies not impacted by urban light pollution. Kafka wants to go to Disneyland and feed each other around the world (Paris would be the ideal destination because Paris is the city of love or whatever)

laundry softener ✦ what turns them on the most? what turns you on the most?

He's most turned on when I'm frustrated. The little bursts of irritation that come out in deep sighs and little grunts that make him want to fuck the agitation out of me (plus he thinks its hot when I look over my glasses at him when he says my name). I'm most turned on by his hands - they're much bigger than mine and I can truly just stare at them while he does anything and imagine where they should be instead (inside me)

fruit salad : what kind of drinks are in the cooler while sitting by the water?

Kirishima and I are definitely drinking wine coolers and caprisuns. juuust enough that we're giggly and a bit more touchy but not too much that either of us risks falling into the water.

stargazing : what makes a vacation memorable for you?

for me it's the experience. we could be taking a week off to stay at home and do nothing or going halfway across the world to a new continent - but did we have fun? any vacation would be memorable if we had fun to me

jasmine tea : how do you express adoration/care for your partner? how do they express it in return?

im very much a "i saw this and thought of you" kind of person, whether its a physical gift or a picture of a cloud or a meme - so i'm just always sending him things.

he's the same, but I think he tries to be more verbal with his expressions of care because he's quickly locked on to how my brain works and doesn't want something he did minimized to "he's just being nice" because he is but he also loves me and needs to make sure i understand that.

lemon lavender cookies : do you carry mementos / things that remind you of each other? if so, what is it?

I keep a picture of him in my phone case and a scrunchie from a pack that he bought for me unprompted "because they're yellow" that sits on my gearshift. he also has one of the yellow scrunchies in the porsche.

but he keeps one of those pressed pennies you can get at the aquarium because we went on a date there and i dug through my purse for 5 minutes looking for a penny to press only to give it to him.

i think the root cause of why we tend to argue so much is that we both suffer from the awkwardness of being attached to someone else but (to everyone's surprise) i handle it better than he does. i default to verbalizing (most of) my feelings and he doesn't as he prefers to show rather than tell - which i hate because i overthink a lot so he'll definitely be acts of servicing his ass off and im over there like "well he was cleaning anyway there wouldn't be anything significant about him deep cleaning the coffee pot he doesn't use for me"

so when we do fight, mostly it boils down to us not speaking the same language in how we show and accept affection. in the specific instance of me feeling like he doesn't miss me when i'm away from him because he doesn't actively try to communicate with me when i'm gone and getting an "i miss you" from him is like pulling teeth. same with "i love you" it is just stupid hard for him to just say the fucking words. much harder to not say them, then piss me off/make me sad, then have to backtrack to fix it. its also easy for me to pick a fight with him when we're apart because if i'm not actively looking at him i have no body language tells either so how am i supposed to know he's hesitating to wash the last hoodie of his i wore before i left?

he makes it a point to pick me up when i'm on my way back (which also makes me mad but also dumb emotional) so the reunion hug happens earlier than i'd prepared for and is also significantly longer than any pda we ever have in public. the extended hug is my apology to him because he needs that and his apology to me is fueled with verbal reassurance because i need that

and I get a clingier than usual shouei barou for the next 24-48 hours
