OF COURSE , CRUZ SHOWS UP PREPARED. has has a book of poetry tucked into the case of his guitar , though there’s no way he’d ever read the serious poetry , he has some nonsense ones to read off if the stage gets lonely. guitar case slung over his back , he swings open smithies doors like he owns the place , arms as wide as his smile. “ what’s up , bitches ? ” his voice is loud , though the cafe is pretty loud itself considering cruz was a solid fifteen minutes late. “ having fun without me is illegal , in case you were wondering. you’re under arrest. ”

   LEXHQ EVENT : #SMITHIESSTAGE , friday at 5 pm est.

every so often when they want to bring in some extra business , smithies cafe will set up their stage and hold music sessions , poetry slams , karaoke , comedy , and more. this friday night from five pm to midnight smithies stage will be open again ! this is an open mic event for poetry readings , karaoke , and whatever else you can slip onto the stage. all lexu college students are invited , but everyone knows the #lexsquad will all be there ––– they wouldn’t miss an event at smithies ! don’t forget to mention #smithiesstage in your posts !

this event isn’t mandatory , but it’s likely that all of the lexsquad will make an appearance at some point ! the stage is open to anyone and there will also be some free food provided by smithies as well as lex cafe. basically , this is just a chill night for everyone to come hang out and be together as a squad ! the event will take place on the dash at 5 pm est tomorrow night. please like this post once you’ve read it !

after contemplating whether or not she should drink all night, maya had decided to loosen up a bit and try to have a good time at the event. her goal for the night was to come out of her shell a bit and socialize more than she normally does. she was admittedly a little tipsy, but she still felt more confident nonetheless. looking around for someone to hang out with, maya spotted avery sitting alone at a table across the room. he was always able to make her laugh, and she never seemed to have a bad time whenever she was around him. “hey!” maya greeted avery cheerfully before sitting in the empty seat beside him. “are you having fun?” she asked him, taking a sip of her liquor.
