6. Favorite character you ever created.

I have a soft side for Kendra since she was my first OC!

EDIT: Okay but on a non-Cynical Chaos note, I absolutely LOVE my old character, S.A. She’s a self-insert character that I only RP’d with, but I worked so fucking hard on her look and her backstory and her character development I love it so much and if I ever saw a way I could attach that and the slowest-fucking-burn romance I’ve made for her to a different character in an original setting I absolutely would in a heartbeat.

30. Favorite line you’ve ever written.

“The vileness of Kendra’s energy slithers and pools into my hands and fills my mouth like dripping, bitter poison. As strange as it might sound, it brings a smile to my face. The venom curls down my arms like dancing ribbons and juts out like daggers. Anything that so much as grazes its edges will decay and burn to ash. I feel big. Nothing can touch me. No one can touch anything I love. I am the monster in the black of night, the heartless beast they write stories about. They plaster my face on every corner, news outlet, website and radio station to warn the people that I’m coming. Everywhere, they have people locking their doors and checking their closets for me, even after they caught me off guard. Even though I’m only one person. Even though I’m just a kid. Why should I be the one afraid of them? They should be afraid of me.”

A big goal for me when I first made up this story years ago was to write about characters who would be the villains in any other story. When I was going through my teens and realizing the facts about ableism, I found myself being empowered by my negative traits, so any time I get to describe the kids’ relationship with their powers and how they actually feel safer with them and use them to free themselves–especially the ones with more villainous powers, like Ariana here–always ends up being my favorite.
