My name’s Arisa Cliché! You can call me Risa for short! This blog has been my humble corner of tumblr since 2010! I am a 30-something Adult, so if that makes you uncomfortable, don’t feel obligated to stay. 99% of the time this is a SFW blog tho, and any other rare discussions or fandom pics will be tagged as such. This is my personal blog and I typically fill it up with text posts about my life, reblogs, fandom content, human rights/political posts, aesthetic pics, and anything else I’m into! I consider myself a cripplepunk anarchist and those vibes will be present to the best of my ability in the social justice flavored takes I reblog or post. I’m a writer! I typically write original YA/NA Fantasy, Poetry, and Creative Nonfiction, but I also dabble in Fanfiction and fan theories when the mood hits me. “women are holding humanity’s survival hostage” 🤢🤢🤢 I think we should go extinct if people simply decide they don’t want to reproduce anymore. But we’re not facing extinction. The birthrate has dropped due to a number of factors, including the political state of the world and the cost of living crisis. Also this survey was about how people define personal success and simply indicates that young women no longer view pushing out children as a badge of personal success, not that they’re not interested in ever having children just that it is not a matter of personal success and accomplishment. Women were told for so long that their worth was directly tied to their fertility that the suggestion of reproducing being the pinnacle of fulfillment disgusts them.

Also as a side note, people who are obsessed with having children to ‘continue their bloodline’ and very adamant about that should not have children and are not having children for the right reasons. Like, eww. Disgusting. It almost always intertwines with white supremacist and misogynistic rhetoric. “Am I interested in putting in the effort to raise healthy well-adjusted and successful children? Nah but I want to continue my bloodline and spread my seed and knock up several people.”

i'm not in favor of insulting people who think this way or have the same issue - lord knows there have been many times i've seen an "easy" word and went "the fuck is this shit??" these encounters are important. it's how you learn words. when you see something you don't recognize that means you need to do research to figure it out. this leads to a richer and more fulfilling life. it's about the joy of learning. you have to remain open to new words and things. you have to be willing to better yourself. even if you're reading 6k garfield x reader pwp you need to let yourself learn things. it sticks in your brain better if you learn it yourself and take that knowledge with you into the next piece of literature. go forth and take scrying with you and think back to the story you read where you first heard that word. thank that story for teaching you. cherish the wisdom and move onward. amen

the situation with harry potter is kind of unprecedented in some ways imo because it is maybe the largest media franchise in history to be created & owned by a single person who still has direct creative control over it. who is also a billionaire with significant cultural/political influence. like the usual "no ethical consumption under capitalism" type excuses shatter on impact when the bigoted author in question is logging onto twitter every day saying explicitly that when you buy the tim hortons ravenclaw donut she is using your donut money to fund the genocide of trans people. like with big franchises usually there's at least a little more diffusion of responsibility than this
