Fezco & Lexi Howard in Euphoria Season 3
Euphoria. - kitty likes to dance.
I always hated Lexie’s ass and I think the only reason she’s popular is because she’s some kind of Wallflower Jesus for people with no lives but MAN. The pure glee on her face when she had to tell Cassie the TV thing wasn’t gonna work out, combined with the fact that she gave absolutely no fucks that her baby sister was engaging in sex work, was fucking evil.
Halfway through episode 5 :
Cassie is going to get her reckoning soon i feel. She's only thinking about beefing herself up , reaching some peak that she doesn't even know enough to imagine . Her sister, who's always overshadowed by her has worked her ass off to get where she is , while she's taking pretty evil steps ( not even grey areas here , she was ready to cut maddie off , no thoughts in that brain if she has one , only vibes) to get there.
Jules is doing the same same thing in her life. What's she grown in ? Her art ? She stopped going to college , she instead settled for selling her body and company to a married guy who does not love her and now everything she threw away is starting to feel more precious than her penthouse apartment and money.
I couldn't feel sorry for either of them.
Felt so so bad for lexie. Cassie should not have sullied her place of work with her presence even if it was to give her flowers for her birthday kinda scenario , but now seeing her audition footage played on the monitor have me nausea, almost.
For all the "wife" and "friend" she claims to be , Cassie should have been the first one to show "some balls" to protect the ones she claims to love . She does not give a single fuck about Nate or even giving due credit to Maddie if that stands in the way of her becoming the giant that rules the twisted burnt image of Hollywood she loves.
As an artist , jules should have been the first person to realise what she's doing isn't gonna satisfy her in the long run or even the short run. But she got tempted and i doubt ,did not care about how long this sugar baby situation will last or do enough to protect herself. Her lack of planning - financial or existential or even basic safety - is going to cost her.
I feel like Rue is doing better than them both- considering she didn't have much safety or security to begin with. She's simply trying to survive, she already knew the dangers involved going in. She's alive and that in itself is a miracle.
The only ones doing good for themselves is Maddie and Lexie. Maddie had a plan already , she got Cassie to sign the contract without her even reading or looking through it. Lexie has been working without throwing anyone under the bus , only her talent as her tool , as it should be.
The jesus in Maddie's apartment was a nice touch. When you think of it , she's done nothing but look out for Cassie while trying her best to push her career forward till now.
I'm still only half done, let me see the rest
My comments on Euphoria series finale
It was bad. Actually, it was okay, just it wasn't Euphoria. And I'm not talking about the glitter and neon, I'm talking about characters and their development (or this case, the lack of)
1. What the fuck happened with Nate?
Seriously who was that character Jacob Elordi was playing cuz that wasn't Nate. I know there's a difference between threatening teenage girls and threatening some mafia dude, but where's Nate anger? Where is his jealousy and possessiveness?
Sure, you can argue that he only let Cassie do the onlyfans bc he didn't really love or cared about her but still, she made that scene during the wedding and he didn't do nothing. Again, where's his anger?
And not that I wanted him to be violent with Cassie but it's how Nate was portrayed in both s1 and s2
Nate was just punished over and over, I think Sam Levinson thought this was what we wanted but he actually stole the catharsis of seeing Nate get his karma bc Elordi's character had nothing to do with the Nate we knew. In that matter, Fez beating the shit outta Nate was way more satisfying bc that was Nate, and not this crybaby pathetic dude from s3.
2. What the fuck happened to Jules?
I have a theory that Sam got jealous of how good Jules special episode was and chose to screw her character in both s2 and 3 cuz it ain't no way. After Rue, she was the main character but for some reason she was slowly screwed by the script, to the point of being basically a special guest in s3
Which makes me sad and think of what we could have bc Jules special was so good and promised so much. All for nothing.
The fact that her last interaction with Rue was that fight, is sad af but I can take it. However we were stolen, we should have gotten a scene of her dumping the sugar daddy. For her. Bc Rue wasn't wrong about the things she said, she was mean but she was speaking facts. It would be bittersweet that it took Rue's death for Jules to wake up but it would be better than what we got.
I'm so sorry Hunter, you deserve way more.
3. Maddy and Cassie
By far the best part of the season, I'm sorry.
In the end , they kind of only have each other. They are trauma bonded, I don't think they will be another 5y without talking lol.
It's actually sad how much Maddy still loves Cassie. She tries to hide it over this management mask but it's obvious that for her, Cassie is more than a money tree and Alamo clocked that immediately. Why is sad? Bc Cassie would never do for Maddy what Maddy did for her. She's too pick me and selfish.
I've seen ppl say they hate Cassie arc, which is fair, but I disagree about s2 and s3 being that different from s1 Cassie. She has MAJOR Daddy Issues, she's always searching for male attention and validation. But truly is sick what Sam put her through, it felt like a humiliation ritual for Sidney Sweeney, especially the first two episodes with those weird fetishes.
4. RIP Rue
The internet is quick to blame Jules, Rue's mom, Maddy, Lexie...but there's only two ppl to blame for Rue's death: Alamo and Rue herself.
Rue's choices led her to her death. Rue's addiction destroyed her relationships. We all loved her and tends to pick her side since he always sees her pov but she's toxic guys. A good person but still toxic, bc of her addiction and fuck up choices made bc of it
Ngl I was hoping to get surprised by the twist of Rue actually surviving and restarting her life but no, the obvious and predictable was the official finale.
I can change my mind after but rn I think she wanted to rest, like she's not that stupid to take a pill given by Alamo and think it would be ok. I think that after having her life failing a part again she just wanted to go to her promised land, her resting place. And she died kind of peacefully on a warm couch.
5. quick comments
Not Faye and that nazi surviving and running free.
I love that Alamo beat those nazi fucks. And I love even more he got blasted by Ali. Also, Alamo not trusting in women, and being betrayed by a man was peak cinema.
Lexie really is jealous of Cassie
i’m choosing to believe cassie and lexie are short for cassandra and alexandra respectively.
Watching nate and cassie EPISODE FUCKING 1 AND I WANT TO KILL MYSELF I HATE THEM 😭😭😭
