hey heated rivalry fandom, specifically people who are cyber stalking people that *might* have gone to school with hudson to find incriminating evidence on him. as someone that was an out queer person in my high school, i once walked around my school with ‘faggot’ written on my backpack for a day before i got home and saw it. teachers, students, staff, anyone that saw it didn’t tell me. later on, i let girls at parties call me ‘dyke’ because that was the only way i got to stay at the party and not left to fend for myself alone at 2am. but beyond that, i absolutely let myself be used to perpetuate homophobia because i wanted to be useful enough to be allowed to be friends with literally anyone. it took until i was punched in the mouth and being called a fag while with my then gf to realize it wasn’t worth it. my friends that weren’t white had it ten times worse. i shudder to think about what people would think of me based on my teenage self that hurt people but was being hurt by people more often than not. look, i think nuance is important, and more importantly, i think the origin of this “scandal” is so insane it makes me struggle to engage in it without thinking that it’s all fucking stupid. a group of people are targeting hudson williams for being asian or straight or mixed race or gay or white or annoying or whatever the fuck they are saying because they simply do not like him as a person and that’s clouding their ability to see him as a person. the man has been vocally left wing, pro palestine, and incredibly supportive and loving to the heated rivalry fandom. i’m going to trust that the person we see today is closer to who he is than the person we barely see from yesterday.
