you’re actually so deeply real for being like tommybashing in fic is NOT fun. bc like ok first of all ur showing ur ass HE IS NOT A THREAT TO BIG BUDDIE u dont need to overcompensate like that. and also like its way more interesting if the cheating is in no way justifiable but they do it anyway bc their insane and obsessed with each other. u dont need to like make the cheating seem palatable by making tommy try to kill buck with hammers or whatever. its enough that he is just simply not eddie. thats the fun part!!!
THANK YOUUUUUU THIS IS EXACTLY IT like im so sorry. not to be a total bitch but tommy-bashing completely kills the magic of the infidelity sandbox. ok there i said it. the WHOLEEEE point is that they will cheat on anyone for any reason because they are deranged and devoted to EACH OTHER it's about their DEVOTION it's not about tommy or anyone else ACTUALLY sucking (even if one or both of them perceive it that way)!!!! and outside of the cheating it's just kind of cringe like you said because we do not need to cope so obviously. he can be unpleasant without being a caricature. but i understand people get something out of cope fics so whatever. i'm just saying that's their own sandbox and NOT mine
