If all this was for nothing and Byler doesn't become cannon and it was just queerbaiting I'm gonna be pissed. I'm a veteran in queerbaiting shows, but you can't make a canonically gay character in the 80s who solely shows interest in his best friend just to make nothing on it and keep the shitty straight relationship.
