Hey
My name is Calvin Phil. I'm a queer refugee originally from Uganda, but I'm currently living in a refugee camp called Gorom in South Sudan. Though I know it might feel a bit random. I’m really sorry for reaching out like this; it's embarrassing, and I hate to ask for help in this manner. I hope you understand.
I represent a group of fellow LGBTIQ refugees here, and we are facing some serious issues that I wanted to share with you in case you're able to help or know someone who can. We are currently in urgent need of support for survival. Many of us are starving, with no access to food or medication, and some are living with HIV/AIDS. The situation is extremely dire, and on top of that, we face daily persecution, as Sudan's laws against the LGBTIQ community are harsh and unforgiving.
Any support or help for our cause would mean the world to us in these desperate times. If you're unable to donate, sharing this with others would be immensely appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
Calvin Phil

It's kinda sad to see people just not understand that. Every time someone tries exclusionism in the queer community it's the exact same talking points, just applied to a different part of the community.
My friends mum gendered me correctly + used masculine words + nouns for me. Trans ppl are loved. We're loved.
one thing i really dislike about queer fandom culture is the need that people feel to bend over backwards and trap themselves in a self-made cage of what is considered conventional in order to not even POTENTIALLY offend anyone with LGBT portrayals of characters. like. yes i understand that there are weird fucks online who intentionally endorse stereotypes in a negative and offensive way but the fact remains that sometimes lesbians and trans women ARE butch, sometimes gay and trans men ARE hyperfeminine, and sometimes bisexual people ARE promiscuous. all of these among other things. by completely shutting down people who portray characters as having unconventional or uncommon types of queerness you’re just making it harder for everyone to express themselves how they would like to in the Real World + giving people a pathway for them to be harassed for that? because apparently people can’t choose to present however the fuck if it makes others uncomfortable? lol
i somehow genuinely don’t think that I’ll ever get used to going out and about with my hair down 😂
Please bear in mind that "gay panic" is a legal defence where straight people can claim they attacked or murdered an LGBT person because of shock over their sexuality so maybe don't use it as a fandom thing... If a character is flustered around their crush, having a gay awakening, or a crisis of sexuality you can just say that instead
