My body is a temple and I am an atheist,

My mind is a god and I mock about it’s non -existence,

My body never gets flowers nor incense,

Nor worshipers not even myself,

My body is a battleground with ruins that’ve made history,

That if a god exists he would never be forgiven,

A barren land with scars and blood shed whenever she walks,

A trail leading to a forest, who’d know, you might meet fairies or legends untold,

My body is a temple and I’m an agnostic,

Doubting whether it should be loved or it shouldn’t be,

A schrodingers way of paying respect, My body, my soul,

I’m so sorry for all the self harm scars, the storms you endured, the harsh words that echoed,

My body, my soul, I’m sorry for not loving you properly,

Because you’ve been giving for so long, my love, I forgot to look back and see how scarred I am ; 🌷

Ladybug

In days where crocus

bud in iris,

and my skin

fertile soil,

from the light of the sun

a ladybug

landed upon on my hand.

She said onto me,

“I will make a meadow of you.”

and commenced a perennial work.

As seasons passed

and the loam of my body

flourished with lavender and lilies,

an aphid

saw fecund,

a heart,

in which to eat away.

Buried within,

the virile creature,

insatiated,

began at my flora.

The blossoms in my eyes,

on an assault of grace,

a gaze of lightness

grew heavy dead.

And of my burgeoning body

orchid and lilac

lea

moribund

on the small of my back.

The ladybug,

she defended her grove

with all she could muster,

but rooted were the

vermin

which I became.

The garden of my being

could not be salvaged.

Overcome by the aphid,

all floret decayed.

And now my body

decomposed

wreaks with the

musk of ground

dirt

sweat

muscle

hair

brawn

testosterone

&

semen.

Gone

is the ladybug.
