CRAM SCHOOL ( 학원 ) follows the stories of high school students attending the most prestigious hagwon in Seoul. as announced earlier in the trimester, LEGACY CREATIVES, in partnership with NAVER, is presenting its first WEB DRAMA. the currently secret project, CRAM SCHOOL (tentative title), is set to broadcast in the second half of the year with its filming beginning in June 2020. the drama follows the ups and downs of senior high school student attending the most prestigious hagwon in seoul as they prepare for the last line before the most important exam of their lives. all coming from different backgrounds but fighting for the same goal, they students will be learn more than just their curriculum.
as auditions for the roles are nearing the end, the production team is now looking for VOICES to sing in the ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK of the drama. of the 16 songs the ost will have, it has been decided that 8 will be sung by LEGACY NEW GENERATIONS.
on MAY 11, KANG JINA, KANG YONGHWA and TYPE ZERO have been notified that they were chosen to be part of the ost. details for recording and lyric distribution (for type zero) will come at a later time. ON THE SAME DAY, the rest of LEGACY received the news that they could audition for one of FIVE NEW SONGS that will be part of the ost.

those who wish to audition are given until JUNE 18 to prepare. on JUNE 19, they will audition for THE SONG OF THEIR CHOICE in front of 3 LGC Creatives staff member, the producer of the drama and the director of the drama.

write a solo of 300+ words about your character’s audition OR a 300+word solo or a 4 replies (minimum 8 lines) thread with a partner about your character’s preparation for the audition. 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐒 always going to be the downfall of nari’s acting career. as passionate as she was to execute her role as accurately and efficiently as possible, she found it extremely difficult to keep her lines memorized long enough to recite them for the cameras. it was always embarrassing, whether it was years ago in high school theater or now in a more professional atmosphere. everyone would be ready to work, and then there was nari, stumbling over her words as she struggled to remember the right words to say. though she was extremely confident in her ability to portray the character, her biggest insecurity to forget always hindered her ability to act to the best of her ability.
this is why she’s incredibly grateful for youngmin, coming to her aid when she needs it most. hes someone she truly respects, seeing as he’s been acting since his childhood; if anyone knew how to help her out, he would. admitting her faults wasn’t something she was incredibly happy with doing, but youngmin seems nice enough, and she’s confident he won’t judge her for it. so, they’ve developed a sort of exchange, nari bringing food in return for youngmin helping her out.
today, nari’s especially discouraged, meeting up with him during a break during shooting. now, more than ever, the pressure was on, considering this was one of the best roles she’s earned thus far. but she’s already messed up multiple times, and in need of even more encouragement than usual. “ hey there ! ” she greets, her tone glum but still still sending a smile his direction. “ have you ate yet ? i brought jajangmyeon ! ” waving the bag in the air before setting it down, she slides over his tray of food before resting her face in her hands tiredly. “ i think this is the only thing i got right today - i definitely bombed that scene. ”

If he was being honest, he wasn’t as attached to the drama at the beginning. He hadn’t been stoke to play a high schooler, but he was satisfied with his character’s arc. Not all his characters needed to challenge him, and playing Daehyun was his first role on web drama. For that reason alone, he was thankful for the opportunity to play the character. He felt like the weeks had past by in a blur, but he still vividly remembered arriving on set and sneaking into rooms to watch the scenes unfold from the angle of the filming crew.
The last day of shooting had arrived, and he didn’t know how to feel. On one hand, he was happy to able to move onto another project but he would miss the dynamic of Cram School’s set. He found himself by a bench while the film crew figured out the lighting, watermelon juice dripping down his arm as he quietly ate in peace.
And in a matter of seconds, the wind shifted and brought along the one person he actively avoided. He lifts his gaze, eyes squinting as he brought up his hand to shield his eyes from the sun. “Can you move a bit to your left?” He asks with a faint smile on his lips.
If Daehyung was going to speak to him, he might as well be useful to him and shield him from the sun.
honestly, he finds it hilarious that he had landed the role of a barista of all things. it’s helpful that he had actually worked as a barista before his current job, and that’s perhaps why he finds it so funny. his character’s story is funny too, considering the fact that it’s pretty much exactly what his audition had been.
bless the red bull he had brought as a prop, right?
maybe he’ll land a red bull cf one day if their auditions are ever revealed to the public.
that thought amuses him enough to make him smile as he gets into his position behind the counter of the cafe they were filming at. he had reviewed all of his lines and he doesn’t actually say much in this episode. it seems he’s mostly just there as a background character, the worker that’s in the cafe that talks with some of the guests that his character is friends with. and the key point? he gets to hand a coffee older.
it’s also funny to him because the staff had asked if he needed someone to make the coffee for him but he had waved them off, assuring them that he used to be a barista and was certified still. also, he sort of just wanted to practice making drinks.
after receiving permission to do so, alec goes about to make a few lattes for the staff and practices his latte art. making a slightly wonky heart—he’s out of practice okay—and puts it on the counter to stare at it for a moment. there’s no filming happening right now so he turns to his first ‘customer’, youngmin, with a smile. “do you want this? i have permission to give them out ... but i can make you a prettier heart if you want.”
