♡ BOOGIE ON AND ON 

starter for @lgcxhaeun​ backdated to hyunhee’s birthday weekend 

when saturday evening rolls around, hyunhee can barely contain her excitement. she would be lying if she told anyone this was her first time clubbing, making the blonde seem like quite the troublemaker. she presumes that most people go clubbing and drinking before they turn nineteen, anyways. besides, where’s the fun in life without a little danger?

like she promised haeun earlier in the week, she’s picked out all of her favorite two piece sets for both of them to pick from and share. one of them can wear the top, the other the bottoms. they’re supposedly one size fits all, but hyunhee knows sometimes that’s far from the truth. the clothes are made of stretchy material, at least, and if they don’t fit she’s more than willing to go on a little pre-clubbing shopping spree. 

she neatly puts the clothes in a duffle bag so they don’t wrinkle alongside her makeup bag. hyunhee’s not an expert when it comes to makeup, but she knows enough to get by. besides, she has a ton of glitter courtesy of peripera sponsoring legacy’s halloween party, and can’t think of a better occasion to use it. 

when she’s satisfied that everything she needs is packed up, hyunhee strolls over to the other’s dorm and knocks three times on the door. she’s bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet, unable to keep calm while waiting. she’s just way too excited to spend some quality time with haeun again.

noriko was always on her toes, figuratively and literally. she grew up that way -- because saying she was raised that way would mean her parents paid attention, they, absolutely, did not. she fell in love with the technical and artistic aspects of ballet, but even more mastering it to the point that doing improvs makes her feel a different kind of freedom; it was exhilarating. there was not much room for it, only in spaces where no one is looking. but that's the thing about ballet and legacy, everyone is always, always looking.

she never outgrew it, never really moved on from being under pressure and carrying the weight of expectations. she'd grown critical of her own self that even in times of utter perfection, she sees only her flaws. and now, when she's supposed to clear her mind, to show yuxi how far she choreographed her audition piece, she started to feel doubtful... and her lines where nowhere near how she envisioned it. she continues to dance though, pushes through her turns on pointe, and ending it there. it was clear that she was no satisfied, and noriko couldn't quite hide it with the way she heaved a deep sigh and shook her head as she catches her breath.

chewing on her bottom lip and hands on her waist, noriko looks up at her reflection. the list of things she did wrong, should improve, and words she'd rather not hear were already piling up, and she's sure that yuxi was going to enumerate every single one of them. maybe even more... and hurt as her feelings may be, she needed it. "well... what do you think of it so far?" she was preparing herself for it, because no matter how much she anticipates it or tells herself that she already knows all the mistakes and flaws that would be pointed out, it will still hurt.

/ STRESS-INDUCING

     she has to admit that she’s more endeared than annoyed. at least to herself, she can do that. but she doesn’t know how to process these feelings mentally on her own, and can only outwardly express everything she’s feeling through anger on her side. which means sending annoyed texts to haeun whenever something has happened and she doesn’t know what else to do but complain. 

     to anyone else, somin would probably seem ungrateful for the attention she’s receiving from a quote unquote cute boy that she may or may not—hard emphasis on the definitely not—like a tiny bit. but after their stint as roommates, she knows that haeun is the master of reading between the lines of her texts at this point. it was the whole reason why they were able to come to a mutual understanding about the whole code-names-for-people-who-may-or-may-not-be-crushes thing anyway. (with the may being haeun and the may not definitely being somin. definitely.)

     she has so much to say this time too.

another day, another hell day in bootcamp

yunxi HATED bootcamp. it wasn’t that he was necessarily bad at sports or didn’t know how to exercise.  it was more so that there wasn’t many that he could really do without feelings some sort of pain or weakness. but today. he didn’t care. not many people knew about the weakness in his arm, and today he was determined to do something that wasn’t soccer. 

for the next three hours he spent time playing basketball with a few other trainees. was it the smartest idea? no. did he get pushed to the ground a couple times? yes. was his right arm rediculously sore now? absolutely. it was probably a good thing that now as a group they all had meditation to complete for the day. 

this way now he at least had this hour and the hour for lunch break to rest his arm. there was no way that he would let others see him in pain during the group dance practice. he wouldn’t fall behind the rest, even if he wasn’t interested in becoming an idol.

yunxi walked into the area that they had designated for meditation, and found an empty spot. there wasn’t many open spots so he ended up sitting not too far away from cherry.

a random starter for @lgcseojin ( prompt: “I know that look- you’re up to no good.” )

jaesun was pretty exhausted for a lot of different reasons, but with the year-end shows coming up, he needed to make sure he got some practicing in. of course, when he was tired, it meant that there were some things that he just seemed to not realize. for example, today, that meant that he would walk straight into a taken practice room. he didn’t even think to knock and just walked straight in.

however, he immediately straightened up when he noticed a familiar figure in there. “ah, seojin, i didn’t know you were in here.” he exclaimed before realizing a strange expression on the other’s face. “i know that look - you’re up to no good.” he narrowed his eyes a bit trying to figure out what was going on.

Merry-Go-Round

It has been a while since Shiori last had the time and disposition to practice. Maybe she didn’t need the energy for it since Shiori knows better than anyone else that there were days she didn’t want to touch the cello, much less play it. But it is her first love, and Shiori is an excellent cellist. She wouldn't play it in the dorms, though. She didn't plan to bother her roommates with a very loud instrument when they should rest, so she planned to get a room after practice to tune her cello and finally get a sound out of it again.

Shiori could be there for five minutes or five hours, and she wouldn't have noticed it. As clichê as it may sound, her appreciation for it was genuine. People don't spend their entire lives perfecting their skills only to abruptly drop them. Shiori wouldn't let her efforts disappear just because becoming a professional player wasn't her A plan anymore.

She only snapped out of her reverie when she heard a loud bang from the door opening. Shiori turned in that direction only to find someone she might have seen around the company sometimes, but she wouldn't bet on it too hard. Last she checked, no one had booked the room, and she was almost sure she couldn't bother people outside. "Hi. Can I help you?" Shiori asks with her still heavily accented Korean, and despite her limited vocabulary, this is a sentence she has repeated a lot in the last five months. "Am I being too loud? I can tone it down."

Soyoun had always been an avid buyer of DBSD’s Seasons Greetings in the past and always shamelessly displayed their calendar on her desk. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think that she would be shooting for her own version. She can’t help but wonder whether someone out there would buy the goods and display her proudly where they work or study. It was a long shot, but a girl can dream, right? 

As they film in their pajamas, Soyoun then monitors the others’ photos. “Looking cute, Somin!” She calls out as the photographer snaps the photos. She continues to shower the maknae with lots of praise until they have shots they’re satisfied with. However, when Somin spreads her legs boyishly, Soyoun can’t help her inner older sister instinct but to shout “MOON SOMIN!” in between bubbling giggles.

Ichika seemed lost in her own thoughts, fully operating off autopilot as she walked down the hall leading towards @lgcsoyoun’s studio. Though she had been offered one, Ichika had not taken advantage of it due to her own disinterest in music writing. She had been signed to be an idol, and at that point in her life, she had no interest in creating her own music, though some of her other members had been much more open to the opportunity. To each their own, which also meant that the dorm was a little quieter for it. Everyone won. 

Reaching the door, Ichika only bothered to knock on the door once she had started to open it, peering in to find the room’s owner. “I’m here, Youn-chan,” she said before finally catching sight of the older girl and offering her a smile before letting the door fall close behind her. Walking over to a free chair, Ichika slowly began to remove the fluffy teddy bear coat she had on and her bag. A new bracelet glittered in the light as her sweater slipped back to expose her wrist. She had received it the other day, hidden between the folded notebook paper before Blinding Lights practice, a gift from her boyfriend. 

Turning around and running her hands through the ends of her hair, Ichika smiled softly at Soyoung. “You said you wanted me to try on something for you?”
