on JUNE 3, you are called to HYUNGCHEOL’s office for a quick meeting. as you enter the room, he’s busy shuffling through various files on his computer. he invites you to sit down with a friendly smile. “i know training is currently keeping you busy, so i wont be long.” he begins. “last trimester, you participated in LGC GIRLS JAPAN activities. as legacy wants to expand their activities in japan, we’ve managed to get a deal with a radio station for the company to get a WEEKLY radio show. we’ve put a lot of thought into which group or individuals should receive the opporunity and ultimately decided that we’d like the the show to be in a format where our various acts promoting in japan or those who can speak japanese can appear.” he explains. “which leads us to why you are here today. as a MEMBER of LGC GIRLS JAPAN, we’d like to offer you the chance to be one of the REGULAR HOSTS of the variety show. would you be interested?”

The invitation comes as quite a surprise - a welcome one, in this case. Now the idea of being called in for meeting with the head manager always filled Taeha with a rush of excitement instead of that dread that followed heeding warnings from more senior trainees in her earlier years. She greets him with a wave of both hands and a broad smile, making sure to bow her head slightly as she settles into her seat.
Her eyes are wide, lips curved into a ‘o’-shape as he speaks. “Me? Really?!” She blinks, mulling over the idea. She’d had a blast filming in Japan, and seemed to be getting the hang of things with her YouTube show… But a regular host? Was she truly ready? Her outward silence is filled with racing thoughts - doubts - concerning her language ability, the way she still trips and stumbles over words, the potential of giving malicious commenters more content to use as ammunition…
Taeha purses her lips. Those things didn’t matter. Gone were the days of pondering over what her weaknesses were, or what people thought. There had not been a moment that she didn’t have faith that Hyungcheol, or the other staff for that matter, had her best interests in mind. If she wasn’t ready for such opportunities, they wouldn’t be offered. Perhaps it was time that she had more faith in herself, too? Park Taeha is stronger than she looks! She nods to herself, sitting up straight in her seat. “Yes! I am… I am very interested! Thank you so much for offering me this opportunity and… I won’t let you down!”
Dancer, vocalist, rapper ( ! ), professional host ( ? ). Perhaps this journey is getting even more interesting than she’d once thought it would be.
on october 9, you are asked to go to hyuncheol’s office where he is already waiting for you. “please sit down, milan.” while his presence itself can be intimidating, he does not seem angry, even maybe in a good mood. “i know you are busy, this won’t take long, don’t worry.” he begins. “it seems that your hard work has come to fruition and got yourself noticed. while the managers of the company are always trying to find opportunities for our talents, we’ve been approached directly to request your participation.” a hint of pride can be heard in his tone. “we are in no position to accept or refuse the offer ourselves, so the call is yours to make.”
milan isn’t a trainee anymore, but being called to hyuncheol’s office still fills her with worries and anxiety. not that she’s ever been called to his office to be scoleded or anything like that, but the possibility still remains. logic tells her that she never had a properly negative interaction with the man, still, in her head, he remains a stern presence that holds her future in legacy in his hands. perhaps it isn’t that simple anymore, but her status of ‘idol’ hasn’t fully sunk in just yet.
after a soft knock on the door, the rookie carefully steps in, looking much like an alarmed puppy, ready to run, tail between its legs. she hestitates before sitting down, much rather preferring to remain standing, in case she needs to run out the door, but she obliges after a few seconds.
the truth behind being called here today turns out to be quite... surprising. “me?” she can’t help but ask. she prepared for so many doom scenarios only to be met with... a proud hyuncheol. the girl without charm, the girl who’s lacking, the girl who shouldn’t have made it. she purses her lips as her eyes fill up with tears at the way the man speaks to her. “of course i’ll do it!” she exclaims as tears burst out of her eyes.

as your training group starts its first lesson of the day, the coach suddenly tells everyone to gather around. when you’re all listening, they suddenly call your name. “son alec…” they don’t sound angry, but they’re not smiling either. are you in trouble? did you do anything wrong? “we heard it’s your birthday… isn’t it?”
before you can react, everyone starts laughing and applauding as a few more staff members enter the room with a cake and a small box. they all sing happy birthday to you, and once the atmosphere calms down again you get handed the box. it contains… letters? “you received a few letters from fans. they also sent this cake. we hope this will brighten your day despite having to come in for training.”
and right before you all get back to practice, a staff member tells you your gift from the company: a day off to use this upcoming month! you can claim it whenever you want as long as it doesn’t fall on a day with official company or group activities. have fun!
