This is a reference shot for the main team in my upcoming comic “Children of the Revolution”. Don’t worry, the coloring will be way better in the finished product (as I don’t plan on doing it). This is was just one of the reference shots I sent my friend who’s doing the coloring/editing that I happen to like enough to share.
This was my first set since the bumbershoot weekend. Transitioning to a quieter room was a little different, but I think it went well. My sister shot this on her phone and I think she forgot to follow me while shooting the video, hence there's a whole minute during the more physical bit where are just hearing my voice and watching my shadow act out some of the parts. Sorry about it. Shifting energy levels and feeling out crowds. At least I'm getting better about pacing around. Now all I gotta do is not look up or down at the ground so much. #SelfCritique
here’s an emo as fuck cover of “Dust” by Frank Ocean i came up with a little while ago. don’t look at my sucky face too much and the video’s not so bad i guess. also the buses passing by my apartment sound really cool like spaceships taking off and landing. #QueersCoveringQueers
So here’s the interview i did for Razorcake! It was done by my good friend Kayla Greet. In it, i talk about all kinds of issues (racism, sexism, transphobia, ageism, etc.) and get into a lot of my personal history in music. Oh man, I’m still reading it all right now, but I’m posting this now so you can all see what kind of weird person i’m like when i get interviewed.
Hey so I got tagged by my good pal Wooperpooper to do one of these question and answer meme thing so here we go.
RULE #1 ALWAYS POST THE RULES. RULE #2 ANSWER THE QUESTIONS THE PERSON WHO TAGGED YOU ASKED, THEN WRITE 11 NEW ONES. RULE #3 TAG 11 PEOPLE THEN LINK THEM IN THE POST. RULE #4 TELL THEM YOU TAGGED THEM. RULE #5 TELL THE PERSON THAT TAGGED YOU THAT YOU’VE ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS.
1) Do you like sweets?
-It depends, in general I won’t really go out of my way for desert type foods, but every once in a while I get a hankerin’.
2) What are a few of your favorite albums to listen to?
-Radio Music Society by Esperanza Spalding is my all time favorite. I also like A Taste of Chop Suey by Cornet Chop Suey. Both very relaxing options for when I’m feeling stressed.
3) Are you missing any socks?
-I only have like 3 different kinds of socks and they are almost identical so I generally mix and match. So to answer the question, probably, but I actually can’t tell.
4) Do you prefer shorts, pants, or skirts? Or something else?
-Depends on the weather, but I generally enjoy shorts.
5) What kind of drinks do you like?
-I stick to water 95% of the time, that being said this was the semester that finally broke me as far as semi-regular caffeine consumption, I’ve gotten into peach flavored lipton sweet tea. Strawberry-Kiwi Snapple is always good for special occasions.
6) What’s a song you find yourself listening to often?
-The Riddle by Five for Fighting, Dragon Slayer by Ninja Sex Party, or All I Need is You by Rob Cantor
7) How do you motivate yourself?
-Groan loudly at self until self gets stuff done. Tbh I have no idea, for the most part I get stuff done but I really don’t have any mechanism to get myself to do stuff.
8) What’s on average the longest you’ll hold your bladder for?
-I have the bladder of a 97 year old so not very long, half a day maybe?
9) What time of day do you prefer showering?
-At night, nothing better than climbing into bed feeling nice and clean.
10) Have you gone camping?
-Yes and I enjoy it very much, I hope to go this summer if I’m lucky.
11) What sort of smells do you like?
-Hmm, I guess faint smells are good, anything too strong gives me a headache. Lavender, mint, eucalyptus, that smell that is in the air right after it rains.
And with that here are my new 11 questions.
1) If you had the time and resources to become fluent in another language, what would it be?
2) You have the means to provide the ideal habitat for any animal in the world, what would you have as a pet?
3) Ben & Jerry’s wants to make a new flavor of ice cream with you as the theme, what is it called and what is in it?
4) Would you ever go sky diving?
5) What is your favorite article of clothing and what do you like about it?
6) Would you rather live in a place where everywhere important (job, grocery store, bank, etc.) is easily accessible on foot and you cannot own a car, or a place where you have to commute a long way to get anywhere, but you have your dream car and gas is always a dollar.
7) What is one tv show or movie that you have been meaning to watch, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet?
8) What song or album helps you mellow out after a stressful day?
9) What song or album pumps you up when you need to get in the zone?
10) Dogs, yes or no?
11) What are 3 things that make you happy?
No pressure, you don’t have to do it if you don’t want to, that being said I tag do-you-know-doug-e-fresh, lh2020, funtank27, straigh2laserdisc, e-lodicolo, scruffyprincess, and cosmicmagician. Also feel free to do it even if I didn’t tag you.
