I've come to the point where I've thought of many different ways for the Liakyoin reunion to happen that not even I know which one is the canon for the lore.

Kakyoin literally likes to sketch Lia when he’s got free time ( Yes, he often gets teased for this by Polnareff especially). 

At first Kakyoin tries to hide that he considers himself a selfshipper, but eventually he decides there’s no reason to hide it. He becomes fairly open about it and ends up talking A LOT about his feelings for Lia. 

Jotaro is pretty supportive of this (well, as supportive as he can be in his own way he just kinda says ‘whatever’). Polnareff wants to tease Kakyoin about it, but if that’s what makes him happy then he’s not gonna say too much about it.

Kakyoin is always on the hunt for Lia merch, he definitely would have a little charm of Lia on his keys or on his camera just to always have her close by.

He knows a lot of facts about Lia, he probably brings her up way too often!

With how easily my mind switches from Liakyoin to KiraLia (and vice versa) when I'm trying to write something, it feels like I'm sitting in front of my laptop with Nori tugging at one of my arms and Kira tugging at the other.

A soft thought for Lia and Kakyoin is thinking of them having a culture exchange... like I know you mentioned Lia learning Japanese from Kakyoin so I’m just soft imagining Kakyoin teach her. He’s very patient while teaching her, and of course he finds some of her pronunciation adorable of course. When Lia is feeling a bit discouraged about not quite getting it, Kakyoin is always quick to reassure her and during their breaks studying he makes sure to take good care of Lia so she can rest up! He brings her tea and of course gives her sweet kisses too. <3
