It follows four storylines and talks about a darling fifteen years old girl who’d gone through more than any person should go through, a snarky German defector, an iconic nurse who’s literally the best, and then some dude that no one likes but it’s super good and really interesting

The Cloud Atlas - Liam Callanan

I’ve not read the book (yet, it’s on my list) but the movie was perfection and it had a robot lady, a futuristic caveman, a gay composer and his boyfriend and it followed a bunch of different story lines and it was so good

Apologize, Aplolgize - Elizabeth Kelly

This one is... This book has been my favorite since I read it last year, I keep going back to it to read it again but I just can’t, the main character is this super smart guy but his life is just a giant disaster and he can’t escape this downwards spiral of horrible things that happen to him and it’s a really depressing book but it’s so good and I loved Collie so much and if I hadn’t been on a boat when I read it I almost definitely would have cried (tw : suicide, death)

1966 - I adore this photo - not sure why. There is something about the composition - the unposed look, that lamp, the look on my siblings' faces and the presence of the cousins indicates the forced togetherness of a family outing of some kind. Maybe this is at my Grandmother's house? There was sure enough drama at that time in my family to color the faces of the younger kids. It has a moody feeling to it. Faces barely seen coming out of the dark. I wish I could see more. The mysterious quality of the photo gives it a dream like air.

I desperately needed to get away and quietly sitting on my shelf for over a year, Liam Callanan’s Paris By The Book‘s red cover finally caught my attention and gave me a first class ticket to my favorite city.  Callanan’s descriptions of Paris were as real as being there, as I relived walking the cobblestones streets, climbing up to Montmartre, and eating the buttery croissants.
