#the demon's lexicon#alan ryves#nicholas ryves#Hnikarr#Liannan#anzu#I don't know if I'm ever going to finish this#the computer i was drawing it on broke#But a me and a total of 7 other people in the entire world have read these books#and if one of them was sitting on an incomplete comic#I'd really rather have them post it as-is that never get to see it at all#So i'm doing that#The first time I saw this poem circulating around tumblr#It reminded me very strongly of alan#except I had to change the meaning a bit#He's not saying “I took your name to return you to the primordial nothingness/everythingness from whence you came”#He's saying “You are everything to me. My entire world. And because I love you. you are never going to be able to stop being nick.”#we don't get a lot (or maybe any) description of what Hnikaar looks like#so I decided to try to design him like a storm cloud
