December Holiday is an extremely plausible candidate for the roaring knight. She also is an extremely plausible candidate for the voice in the unused code, and I've been struggling to reconcile these too ideas, because it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to think that the roaring knight and the unused are the same person. The roaring knight is running around and doing things, whereas unused is trapped alone in endless dark with no way to even track the time.
And sure, the knight could be carol instead. That idea has gained some traction this chapter, with the confirmation that Asgore cannot possibly have been the voice on the other side of the phone, meaning it was probably Carol, who suspiciously knew where the next fountain would appear. There are things about it that don't feel quite right, though. Do we really think that Carol would have created a darkworld with her daughter at the epicenter? Could the ever-busy mayor really disappear for the amount of time it takes to do knight things without anyone noting it as odd. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it leaves me with questions.
There's something else that has been bothering me. In the weird route, Noelle talks about it like no one knows what's on the other side of the lake, but this is a basically modern setting. Someone should know that. They have phones. It should be incredibly easy to google. Except the internet went out shortly before the game started. Alvin used to constantly get letters from Gerson's fans, but they recently stopped coming in. Tenna used to be able to show all sorts of programs, but now he just plays the same old reruns. The road that presumably leads out of hometown is blocked off by police tape, despite the town's general lack of crime.
The town has, at very least, been deliberately cut off from the outside world, but the lake scene makes me wonder if the outside world even exists anymore. It makes me wonder if it ever has.
The best explanation i've seen for how the weird route continues in chapter 7 is that kris and Noelle managed to clip out of bounds and skip ahead to the dark world under the town. Why would there be such a thing as 'out of bounds' if it wasn't supposed to be impossible to cross the lake? Doesn't it make every other way out being blocked off so much more suspicious?
If the outside world doesn't exist, then Asriel isn't at college right now. So where is he?
Maybe, just maybe, the outside world was, 'intended' to exist, but was ultimately deemed unnecessary. The space that should have been Asriel's university became unused, and he, as the only relevant character there, remained as sentient artefact, living in a space that doesn't exist, waiting for his cue to step back into the light.
Adam: Your older brother. Abel. He's dead.
Adams third child, Seth: What is that?
Adam: I don't know. This is new for me too.
Eve: I think "dead" is what happens to dinnerbeasts.
Seth:
Eve: We might have to dinner him.
It’s laundry time
Apparently my stepdad and I are fucking psychically linked because ?? every single time he makes chili for dinner I get a migraine. Without fail. And it became like a ha ha running joke because it happened so many times but now I’m living 3 hours away from my parents and I just texted my mom and

this is so much better i love it
still fucks me up what a bad rap coyotes get in peoples eyes. like ive talked to people who see em as like. gross pests who should be culled. theyre literally just as cool as wolves just a lil smaller and less confident. i love them with all my heart to balance out all the coyote haters out there, coyotes rule theyre doing great
imagine having hatred in your heart for this beast
this post was so fucking funny I literally was just like “I like coyotes I think they’re cool” and so many people fucking hated it. Shut up I’m trying. To enjoy animal
back in highschool, our cross country team would always run by the canals. which is also where the coyotes lived, and had their pups. so we would occasionally get “escorted” by a guard coyote that was trying to protect a litter.
if you have not been escorted by a coyote, its a pretty silly experience. they follow behind you, but at a respectable distance, occasionally doing weird bark-yip-yodels. unless you slow down. then they continuously do their bark-yip-yodels, as a reminder that you should not linger near their babies. very chatty critters, coyotes. they always left our fastest guy alone because he’d toss the last inch of his mid run gas station hotdogs their way
there are such wonders in this world for those with the eyes to see them.
Vampire girl explaining that vampires don’t necessarily have to kill someone to drink their blood, but she did kind of kill a lot of people back when she was all depressed pre-transition: “when I was an egg I ate four dozen lads”
Attempted killer apprehended for an unrelated assault that someone else committed anyway
If you're still not quite clear on what the article is saying, this woman had a rapidly growing malignant tumor until her doctor poked it with one needle to take a sample.
Her immune cells responded to that tiny little needle wound as they normally would, and only then detected something wrong with the surrounding cells, attacking the cancer they now associated with that trivial damage.
It doesn't reliably work that way all the time or we would have noticed this happening a lot more often, but this would also seem to imply that, across the entire history of the practice, there's probably an above-zero number of people who actually beat cancer through acupuncture.
It’s giving “leeches actually have health benefits but not for any of the reasons they were supposed to be good for”.
The thing about Miss Piggy is that she kind of has a Roger Rabbit comedy superpower where she wins nearly any conceivable fight she's in. But unlike other characters of which that's true, like say, Bugs Bunny, who tend to win because they make the opponent play the game with their rules, Miss Piggy wins because the joke is that she can beat the shit out of literally anybody.
Woman murders man in broad daylight
beautiful like to reblog ratio on this
That's because people are reblogging it every time they see it. Like I'm doing right now lmao
this video was always funny but I found this guy’s Instagram and he is Always Doing This, like it’s hundreds of slow motion videos of him walking muscled and shirtless through crowded streets around the world as people react to him—many of them appear to be filmed on the same street as in this video. which means this lady probably sees him doing this all the time and was like OH THERE HE IS AGAIN lmfaoooo
oh so it's performance art for both of them, okay
The hammer and sickle next to the pawprints and the trans flag are like. IDK it's like seeing a car with a zillion bumper stickers regardless of alignment and knowing the person is a whacko with zero understanding of what the Soviets/Communists etc were/are.
And then, as part of it, they also fall down the old Soviet antisemitic propaganda and think themselves righteous for it.
Does someone know what the hell is the reason for this? How did queer identities get so entangled with glorifying regimes that were very much not queer friendly?
I think it's a very misunderstood reaction to "rainbow capitalism." They didn't think the problem was "capitalists commodifying queer identities to get your money without actually caring about queer rights." They thought the problem was capitalism, and obviously the solution is communism.
I genuinely don't know why LGBTQ people and queerness have become synonymous with antisemitic radical leftist views and oppressive regimes but I've been seeing it happen since at least 2010 (it might have been occurring for longer but that was when I got involved in activism)
I've just given up and sworn off LGBTQ spaces so if anyone figures it out please let me know because I'm fuckin clueless
Genuinely the same head scratching self defeating bullshit that I get when I see devout christians and angry rural working class people supporting Trump, a billionaire sex pest
Some of it is also that young LGBT people tend to be shut-ins because of homophobia and transphobia, so it's easier for them to only make friends online, where they get into a feedback loop and radicalized. Basically the lefty version of inceldom.
And the bit where they've been convinced that anyone over the age of 20 only talks to them to sexually exploit them, which is really just a reskinned version of Republican talking points from the 90s and 00s about how allowing The Homosexuals To Marry would lead to "pedophile marriages" and Won't Someone Think Of The Children.
I'm not sure how much the current viewpoints are informed by history, but the historical foundation is very much there.
The... Well, I don't want to say the "first", because history is a long line, and everything is built off of what came before it, but if someone asked me what the first dedicated gay rights organization in the united states was, I would be extremely inclined to say the Mattachine Society, which was founded in 1950 by Harry Hay, a communist who was motivated to do this by communist principals.
Later, in the surge of political activity after the Stonewall riots (1969), a lot of new gay rights organizations, one of the biggest and most notable of which was the Gay Liberation Front (GLF), named after the National Liberation Front. Y'know. The military organization trying to unite all of Vietnam under communism.
And the years 1950 to 1980 are my particular field of interest. This is a pattern that has existed for at least that long, and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that it goes back even further.
But love it or hate it, it's not something that happened ~2020, or in 2010, or as a response to rainbow capitalism. It's been here for about as long as anyone's been alive.
I got hit by the most intense mental image upon seeing this post
Ok bye
