When You Didnt Know You Were Actually Living the Dark Academic Lifestyle For Four Years

Went to an old liberal arts college founded in 1815 in the middle of no where

The campus is beautiful with a preppy feel

Majored in English and History

The English Department used to be an orphanage

The dorm rooms were mostly built prior to 1920 with large windows, oak trees and secrets

The students are unique and preppy

I wore trenchcoats and boots around all the time

The professors are weird and amazing

The Geology Department used to be a morgue

Cobblestone streets are awesome but a bitch in the winter

Working on the second week of environmental studies. Although this semester/term is about doing well as an online student and liberal arts.

Journal Entry #3?!

Virtual Mirrors-

1) What was the easiest part of this warm up game? What was the most challenging?

2) Do you prefer being a leader or a mirror in this game? Why?

3) How can this warm up help you become a better actor?

The easiest part of the warm up game (virtual mirrors) was following along to the leader’s gestures. I was actively listening to their body and corresponding with mines. The most difficult part of this exercise was leading it and being creative. I had to be extra creative because I was in the Vorhees lobby and wore a mask. So I tried incorporating more body gestures.

I preferred being a mirror in the game. It was really fun when other peers got to lead. They were very entertaining!! I am a leader in many other aspects, but this just isn’t one of them.

This warm up can help (and has) me become a better actress in a few small ways. I became more comfortable in having more eyes on me. I had fun in the activity and I was engaged the whole time! It wasn’t until after class when I learned that monologues don’t have to be sad and mopey. That’s when I figured out what I wanted to write mines on: my first time doing acid (in vivid details).
