Wow. Wow. Just wow. One year. One year of this beautiful, incredible au. One year since the gladiator au was created.

I still remember it started because of a completely unrelated ask about Jack of all people. Lazy and I then came up with the idea, and Dei joined in soon after.

We’ve been planning, drawing, world building, and writing this au for one year. Three hundred and sixty five days. Time flies so fast, I genuinely can’t believe it. Remember when we still called this the tournament au?

Thank you, all of you, who have been here for the journey of this story. Thank you for your comments, your asks, your fanart, your edits, your fanfictions, we treasure and obsess over every single little one. You are all so incredibly talented and beautiful, and I cannot express in words how much we appreciate every single one of you.

To @deirunn and @alasylunatic, two of my best friends. You’ve made my day brighter and brighter every single time I talk to you guys. I don’t know what I would do without the two of you. You’re both so talented and amazing people. I love you guys, thank you for being here this entire year with me.

Thank you Lazy, for your ideas and your writing. I’ve watched you grow, from two paragraphs to nearly twenty pages in your writing. I have never seen a progression nearly that incredible. And your designs are fantastic. I cannot tell you how obsessed I am with your Cetus design, I could draw him all day. You’ve contributed so much to this story. I’m so grateful to be friends with such a talented person.

Thank you Dei, for your absolutely jaw dropping art, and your ideas. I cannot express to you in words how beautiful your art and designs are. They have so many details, and you can see the love put into every single line. Your ideas are awesome, and I love how much of yourself you put into characters like Rez. hello horror man. you explained what hazard and modrolith feel towards the members of the celestial family, but what about some of the Other fellas (mostly the villains/antags jkhsds) like Dark Sun, the Bm twins, Nexus, any of the astrals, ect? :3?

Hazard ————

Dark Sun - doesn’t really care about him. But he brings drama to the show and that’s always fun to watch

Bloodmoon - loves the two in one thing they have going on. Doesn’t really care much for the atrocities but understands their bad. And there wasn’t really any that can redeem them

Nexus - a bit conflicted. They like him. He’s fine. But they don’t fully know what to think of his actions

Eclipse - like a lot. A villain turning good, is always a nice thing to see. Like’s his sarcastic humor

Ruin - he’s fine, no really major opinions. He’s fun to listen and watch tho. British boy

Gemini - the little watcher and wind are interesting, once again likening the two in one dynamic. But other then that they don’t care

Taurus - no really particularly opinion on him. He’s fine.

Libra - she’s interesting. But her power slight confuses them. But other then that also no particular opinion

Modrolith ————

Dark Sun - doesn’t care too much about him. But is wary, and distrust him.

Bloodmoon - He dislikes them a lot. Family is important to them. He hates that they’ve destroyed so many. But is also slightly conflicted with knowing their past. Just slightly

Nexus - dislikes what he’s done. But unfortunately can’t judge him.

Eclipse - has respect for Eclipse redeeming himself and getting farther in life. He’s proud

Ruin - unsure what to entirely think about him. But he’s fine in Mo’s regard

All astrals - hate. Absolutely hate. They hurt Hazard. Practically attacked off of fear, when they could’ve just talked, unacceptable!

He tolerates a few just because he knows they can’t do much harm. But Taurus and Leo he hates with a burning passion (literally lol)

I think it’d be really cool if Titan could still hear the astrals he’s absorbed talking to him or each other or even their thoughts d and he commonly responded, even out loud or alone or in front of people. Any and everywhere.

And if his power grew based on willing the astrals inside of him would be willing to use that power if it were just them. Like how Titan clearly is trying to separate Cosmos emotionally from his family, because his Gemini and Taurus (and maybe a bit of Libra) recognise Cosmos as just a Lunar who didn’t go down the same path Titan did and don’t want him to suffer / or if Titan was to destroy something, it would be stronger because of Leo and Kerian and Rez, who enjoy destroying things

In Radiance, the Astrals function as a council. I'll elaborate on that on the AU's blog because it's a super long explanation.

Basically, stars are born without jobs and typically without names. They are taught by mentors until they earn their jobs and take over for the mentors when they inevitably burn out.

This section would refer to Libra's relationship with Noctyra. Before Libra gained the role of judge, her and Noctyra were lovers. When Noctyra returned to the dark, Libra had just gained the role of judge and her first trial was Noctyra's. Libra sentenced her to prison instead of death because she still cared, at the time.

Now, Libra is married to an alien named Har-Li, and they have a daughter named Clytemnestra. She works extra hard to ensure they are safe from the council and that they are not affected by her decrees or any of the work that the Astrals may do that may be dangerous to her family.

She's also close to the Celestial family due to many factors such as Lunar and Beatrice (An OC whose story I have only briefly elaborated on). And she's generally just a motherly figure to most of the family.

She feels as though she will never be able to protect them as much as she wants to due to her role as judge and the need to be unbiased as much as possible. Something happens in her section of the story that really highlights this, but that's a story for another day :)

That's kinda all!! But I do really want to work on this animatic after I finish the one that I'm currently working on :D

I just feel useless, Libra. Pollux runs around, helps people who can’t do much for themselves, actually cares about the people around her. And I still can’t imagine what it’s like to know what someone else is going through just by looking at their face. Sometimes I wish you’d let me die. Stars know it would’ve been easier.

Castor, don’t say that. I know that medicine messed you up a little, but it allowed you to survive. It gave you the chance to live. I know, it’s hard. I can’t ever pretend to know what it feels like to understand so little about emotion. But you are more important to all of us, especially Pollux, than the ability to show what you’re feeling is. I’m sorry, it was a hard decision all those years ago. But I made the right one. I promise that. You aren’t useless, Cas. You’re just different. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

And you Shouldn’t either, reader. You are all special in your own way. That’s what makes you you!
