Hey there Iām back at it again with another post! My Tumbler account turned 1 year old today!! So I thought why not post something in celebration!
I am currently obsessed with AOT characters and their zodiac signs. So I drew 13th Commander of the Survey Corps. Erwin Smith representing his sign and mine: The blind scales of justice; The Libra!
Erwin Smith, 13th Commander of the Survey Corps. A level head in battle and calculating. Making strategic sacrifices all in the name of the greater good for humanity behind the walls. It would make sense he is a Libra. Libraās are air signs, they have a goal in mind and will strive to achieve it. However they have powerful flexibility to change and adapt to what ever obstacle presents itself in front of their path to success.
Libra is also governed by the Goddess Themis who is said to be āthe personification of Justice, wisdom, and good counselā. Themis is depicted blind by a blind fold in most art dating back in the 16th century and even to this day. Why? Because blindness is to represent impartiality as well as the gift of prophecy.
Erwin shows his Libra traits various times throughout the show. His patience with Levi is one of the Libra qualities that lead to their very close bond after Leviās recruitment into the scouts. His flexibility to change his plans in order to achieve the best outcome for not only his men but humanity inside the walls, and finally we see a more secretive trait of Libra that they donāt outwardly show- Erwin truly does hold the burden of every death that has happened under his command. Libraās tend to take fault and burden themselves with guilt when something doesnāt turn out as nice as they had wanted it to or for things out of their control. (Aha I should knowš
