happy prying drives out of computer guts on damp concrete day to all those who celebrate
had my annual review (nonprofit + already got a raise so unconnected to $) and reaffirmed that i would looooove if a full librarian salary position for me shook out during the upcoming director transition. every upper level manager i talk to (including during this review) since getting my mlis has been like. i am totally not allowed to beg you to stay but pleeeeease stay….
if there isn’t an opening for me by like. the end this academic year (may) i will start seriously looking elsewhere but i do love my job! my boss was like we’ll try to find more archives projects for you which would be sooo sick i have not worked w any physical collections since like. 2019
anyway: glowing review, back into extremely busy time at work since students are all back
so crazy back to back busy at work bc i have a new employee that i am onboarding and it’s a double whammy of his first job post college and my first time managing. so i’m doing my best and hoping it is enough. trying to conceptualize myself as a role (manager) instead of like. being Clara to this new guy. it’s my job to tell him things and i am good at relaying information. also he’s instantly way better than prior person at the tech parts of this job. wow!
applied to big library job . wahoo !
