LAKES INTERNATIONAL COMIC ARTS FESTIVAL IS THIS WEEKEND!

and I’m gonna be there along with so many other amazing cartoonists as part of a Canadian contingent invading the United Kingdom (we share the same powerful Queen so it’s allowed). You should come! And ASSUMING YOU DO, here’s some panels I’ll be at:

Saturday 14 October – 3.15pm-4.15pm – BAC Malt Room A whole new world – Webcomics Maestros (Panel event with Ryan North and Emma Vieceli)

Sunday 15 October – 11.30am-12.30pm Shakespeare Centre Adventure Time – Comics for Kids (Panel Event with Ryan North, John Martz, Claudia Davila, Jillian Tamaki)

There’s a signing after each event, and when I’m not at those panels I’ll be around the show, so if you see me don’t be afraid to come say hi! I WILL SIGN ANYTHING. <3

Update RE: Lakes International Comic Art Festival

If you follow me on Twitter you’ll have already seen, but I’m just reposting my statement again for my followers here so you know the situation.

I will no longer be attending LICAF this coming weekend. I do not do this to upset those who have supported me in the past so kindly - I truly appreciate the relationships I have with the festival organisers and patrons. Which is why I'm doing this in solidarity with those whose valid criticism and feedback regarding issues of racism have been dealt with in such a disappointing manner. I do not favour defensiveness and a lack of openness the representatives have displayed. The comics community will only grow and improve with an open mind and willingness to listen and change. I'm not a big voice in comics, but if it can help in any way, I think this is the right thing to do. I'm sorry it took me so long.

Apologies to anyone who was planning to come and see me at this event. I am however still attending London Comic Con at the end of the month, so do come and see me there if you can!
