I finally coloured my illustration from last year's #folktaleweek! 🍂

My street is covered in autumn leaves at the moment, and they're some of my favourite colours to paint with, so I couldn't resist. I really like the greyscale version still though! Both for different reasons.

I always seem to end up drawing one-off illustrations where I just keep thinking about the characters for ages afterwards. So maybe one day I'll wrap these two up in a full story 🧡

Hiiii! There's only a few days left of my s@le! I'm officially going on maternity leave in November, so my page will be going into holiday mode for probably around a year.

Hi everyone! I've found myself out of work after a big job I was working on unexpectedly fell through. With a new baby due in December it's obviously been really quite tough. SO I'm reaching out to see if you know of anything that might fit!

I'm mostly looking for: - Illustration commissions (business or personal!). Especially things like book covers etc. - Comics related work I can fit in before December (covers, scripts, flats/colouring, workshops etc). - Portraits! Personal commissions (taking Christmas gift bookings now!) or live event illustration. - Short term storyboarding for businesses or last minute assists with animation (props, backgrounds, characters etc).

Hi everyone! I’ve made a ten page mini comic about a Victorian era fossil hunter and the idea of home. You can also grab it as a free PDF download on my Ko-Fi page.

Over the past few years I’ve done loads of comics work, but I haven’t been able to share it as it was for book pitches/under NDA. I felt like my portfolio wasn’t showing my best work anymore and I was getting a bit self-conscious about it.

After learning about a certain ammonite fact (that you’ll see in the story) I was inspired to make this mini comic that weaves in my love of history, cool fossils and stories about plucky kids! I've also lived in four different counties and about 13 different houses, so I find the idea of what is home really interesting. I carry each of those places with me!

#artvsartist I've been doing a lot that I can't show you this year (writing books/working on animations etc!) and I've gone through some tough stuff...but looking back I did more for-fun illustrations than I thought this year! Mermaids, cuddles and Mama/Baby were big themes!

My first new illustration in a while! This was inspired by this verse of the song Wildflowers by The Walin' Jennys (originally by Tom Petty).

We sang this in the Singing Mamas group I go to, and since I heard it I've been singing my son to sleep with it. It just makes me feel emotional thinking of my son and everything I hope for him. 

Hopefully this brings back some balmy Summer feelings 🌞💖
