Apëtron headcanons (more like Whumpëtron with the amount of angst this dude has)
Also sorry if I get anything wrong, I’m basing these off of what little I know of HarMonicans lore oof
* Apëtron wasn’t always infected with the mushrooms, rather they were the result of one of the many glitches and viruses that came with Beëlzebat’s arrival.
* The mushrooms infecting him aren’t just external. They’ve managed to take over his entire internal system with a network of mycelium. Due to this, if the mushrooms themselves were removed, they would just grow back instantly.
* The mushrooms, along with their internal mycelium network, are constantly trying to take control of Apëtron’s body. This causes him constant, chronic pain.
* The mushrooms themselves are dangerously contagious and parasitic, being able to take over organic beings as well. Apëtron intentionally isolates himself to protect his friends.
* Before getting infected, Apëtron had a friendly and curious demeanor. However, after a long time of chronic pain and constant effort to be in control of his own body, he’s become a shell of his former self.
* Due to being a mushroom himself, Lichonfabula is the only HarMonican in the Web Workshop who is immune to the parasitic mushrooms. He often spends time with Apëtron and has tried to help him find a way to remove the mushrooms. However, nothing has worked so far. He refuses to give up hope though.
