okay i'd never heard this song before but i looked up the lyrics as i pressed play and oh my god??????????? this is the most buddie song?????? i have ever heard?????????

but god okay. this has to be the song after eddie's breakdown in 5x13, right??? where eddie wakes up in the morning and assumes buck has gone only to find he's already in the kitchen making chris breakfast and grinning when he notices eddie in the doorway. and eddie can't understand how easily buck is just taking everything???? how easily he's carrying eddie's weight like it's nothing. and maybe he voices it when chris leaves the table and buck just shrugs and is like, "i told you. i have your back. that's not conditional."

1. favorite fic you wrote this year

It's a toss-up between two fics, but because one of them is already my answer to your second question, I'm going to go for:

Five times Buck is Eddie’s co-parent + One time he is Eddie’s everything

Basically it was a fic that I wanted to read so I wrote it myself. Lol. It was written before the legal guardian reveal on the show, so I'm kind of pleased with that bit as well. (Though I am well aware I'm not the only one who wrote that in fic before it actually became canon!)

14. a fic you didn’t expect to write

That is definitely :

I found love where it wasn’t supposed to be (Right in front of me)

Writing porn doesn't come easy to me, so I never actually intended for this fic to happen. But I got the idea stuck in my head (Buck being the loudest bottom possible) and it wouldn't leave and it became way bigger than I thought it would be. And for some strange reason, this fic - even though it's porn (with feels!) a lot of the time - kind of wrote itself. And it might even be my favorite thing I wrote this year but I didn't want to give the same answer to two questions. LOL. But I'm kind of proud of how it turned out.

28. longest fic you read this year

I'm fairly sure that was What's love got to do with it? by @color-me-paranoid which is an absolute Fic Rec! I'm someone who can't hold their attention to super long fics unless they're really fucking extremely good and I loved every word of this fic, so yeah... Everyone go read it! You won't be disappointed.

1. I got to see my RL BFF today. That’s always so good and especially during this pandemic.

2. Everything about this exchange we had: BFF: Your mom is so cute. Me: I agree! I may not be objective, but I’m right. BFF: Oooh, I like that, I’m adopting it. (so it’s kind of a 3 for 1: that my mom is cute, that my BFF sees it too and that for some reason, she's okay with my insane logic)

3. We went to a museum where we saw 2700 year old silver scrolls that make up the oldest biblical text ever found and 2000 year old parchment scrolls, the oldest parchment to still survive. It’s just freaking cool.

4. Asks (and feedback) like the one I replied to here. I’m just in awe and so happy when anything I made might have made someone’s day nicer and that they take the time to say so is just fantastic kindness.

5. When I see that a post I reblogged in my queue really jumped up in notes. It just makes me happy to think of whichever creator I reblogged the post from being happy when they see that.

💖 What do you like most about your own writing?

I need to like my own writing...? (just kidding, I guess just the fact that my writing style is also the kind I like to read. Also I think I'm kinda good at writing, like, soft moments? Idk multiple people have told me that and I do think those are generally the part of my writing that I like the most too

✏️ Do you write every day?

I only got back into writing in January (which was also when I first started with fanfic), so I had to build up again, but I do try to write every day! I might go back to 4thewords after summer, when I really have time. It's a fun way to stay motivated to write because it's kind of a game where you want to keep a streak. One thing you can do is choose an enemy and you have to write a certain amount of words to defeat it.

⏰ Do you spend more time reading fic, writing fic, or do you do both equally?

It's slowly going to 50/50, to be honest. But I think we're at 70% reading and 30% writing right now 😌
