Memory mining
I’m sure this not real Raza crew. Someone is interrogating Six to get the information about the colonies push for independence.
All that grilling about the location - even from Five - it’s way too suspicious. I think someone is messing with his memories trying to get the information about the meeting and the memories about his family and Kal Varrick’s life are a side effect.
Also last episode clearly suggested Six was gone and Anders called to tell Raza crew what happened to him.
First you got to survive
Everyone survived the last season ending (I mean the old crew - Nyx is sadly really dead) but then they all ended up in danger again.
I was really happy when it turned out Lt. Anders is alive at the end of last season (I like that there is someone non-evil connecting one of the Raza crew to their old lives - not all of them had awful ones). He saved Three but to arrest him. They got stranded planetside but GA was coming. But then they bonded fighting against factory security sentry system and Anders let Three go. It’s funny how Three ends up being the one hanging out with the police on his days out. And it’s the few GA who still believe in their mission. But this time it looks like he made a friend.
And now we know Anders first name - John. I hope it means he’ll be back. Also it seems like Kal Varrick used to be married. Another person they might revisit (if she’s still alive?).
Commander Truffault saves Five and they both land on Raza. But the Corporations War is already raging and Raza is under attack from Ferrous. And then it’s being invaded again and Two is not there to defeat the invading men. So it’s up to Five, Commander Truffault and Android to get them and they are all awesome. Five with her big gun. And then Android’s moment of awesome.
Dark Matter loves to make fun of men plotting only to be outwitted by women. Five and Truffault herded them right towards Android and she went all guns blazing. Then they destroy Ferrous ship using their own shuttle.
Meanwhile Two and Six are stranded on the Marauder. No engines, no comms and when they got those working life support dies. Two sacrifices herself so that Six can have all the oxygen hoping her nanites will save her until Raza comes for them. It’s because she feels guilty for all that happened. Ryo, Nyx, the war. All the good decisions with bad consequences. But then she hallucinates Nyx who tells her not to blame herself. And talks to Truffault about hard choices and questionable decisions for the good of her people. And them move on when they backfire because future needs trump past mistakes.
And Two is out of her leadership skills doubt funk - thanks to some advice from a ghost and, I think now, a friend - and she’s got her resolve back. Their new goals - steal Blink Drive and kill Ryo Ishida. And so they do.
They use Ryo’s memories Five has in her head to find the super secret Zairon lab and they get it back. One trip to Phantom Zone and few dead people later. Too bad it was tampered with.
Too bad it triggers Five’s brain to start uncontrolled flashbacks. They have to wall off all those memories so no more Five as one of the crew. But at least she remembered something from her old life. A man who was kind to her and taught her to fix things. And that she has a sister. More non-evil people from their past lives.
Meanwhile Ryo just gets back to ruling Zairon unaware Nyx is dead and everyone thinks he killed her (until Android tells him but will she tell the others he didn’t know?). He frees his old teacher but Misaki wants him dead (and she threatens him too). He went against previous regime he can do it again with Ryo. Even though he did it because he was loyal to Ryo he wasn’t loyal to the Throne. Even dissent against your enemy is just sign of disloyalty. At least Ryo cares for him more then that.
But it’s not true about the rest of his subjects. Ryo basically sacrifices his scientists and expects them to put his interests above their lives. How much does he believe in all his subjects’ loyalty above all? He doesn’t even think twice about it. Some really do and it kills them all. Zairon really isn’t big on independent thinking, is it? Or caring about people.
