“No, I don’t,” he replied with a shrug. It wasn’t a lie, technically. He did, in fact, swipe that wallet... then he took all the cash out and threw it in a dumpster somewhere. 

...God, the mental image of Shota digging around through dumpsters near that club looking for it was enough to make him chuckle. “Why, is it missing?”

“So ... ya and Mikey are together ...? Or were ya guys together in the past?” 

It was a random question, quite a blurt of the mind as they were just together. He didn’t know much of what happened, who happened --- just bits and pieces of what he did catch; Shota seemed like someone who was at least ... conversational, and Hideki had grown to be comfortable with asking questions to the other man.

Plus ... he wouldn’t judge who was with who unless it threatened a person’s safety and well-being which he ... doubted was the case here. Perhaps it was being aware of Mikey’s past that did also bring up the curiosity in him.

“Hope it’s not a weird question or anythin’, ‘m just curious cause ‘m close to him and know ya so it’s like ... I dunno. Guess curious how ya two are doin’? Plus ya did ask me quite a bit about Raiden and me, so I suppose ‘m curious about yers as well if ya don’t mind talkin’ about it.”

Frustration for Hideki is easy to see on his body – clenched fists, taut back, very clearly annoyed expression – it overlaps with his impatience, and he tends to try to keep himself busy and distracted with other things to not let frustration take him over. His lips are always tight and eyebrows creased in, leg usually bouncing, eyes opened wide as if there was some subconscious attempt to keep watch of everything around him. He usually tends to massage his temples or part of his face, hand running through hair – anything to keep his body occupied. 

Excitement is also very readable on Hideki; he tends to straighten himself up more while still holding a relaxed body posture, he is very bouncy and expressive with his entire body and usually has a genuine, wide smile on his face that reaches all the way up to his eyes. Wide-eyed wonder is also another accurate way to see it come through, and his clear attention bleeds through towards whatever he’s excited about.

if shota and cherry ever become friends and he finds out he is going to buy her every skimpy halloween costume he comes across

what about james ??

In terms of James ... a sour expression is usually a dead giveaway of frustration, his body tends to be on the stiffer side and he usually occupies himself with either cleaning, walking, or doing a job at the cafe where he knows other people won’t bother him while he works through his frustration. He does try to not let it come through too visibly on him, but his avoidance of being around people makes it clear. 

In terms of excitement ... excitement and enthusiasm for him are the same and cross over with Hideki’s ( cause it’s where Hideki got his from ) fdhfshfshd. So there isn’t much difference between the two.
