Even though people think sensitive (and he is), Will very rarely talks about his feelings or even shows how he feels. For the majority of the time, he keeps it to himself.
When he is upset (angry/sad/worried etc), he doesn’t even do anything different than usual. What changes is the way & degree he does it. For example, Will loves to draw and it’s something he does almost every day, whether it is a full drawing or just doodles. But when he is sad/upset, he prefers using black pencils/charcoal instead of anything with colour. Additionally, Will is highly introverted, he doesn’t like being the centre of attention, so if he doesn’t know the other person/your muse, well, he is going to very quiet, reserved and seem shy. But again, when he is upset, he is more quiet than usual. He doesn’t talk other than when it is necessary and even then, he might not answer a question, especially if the answer is obvious, even with the people close to him. He doesn’t seem to get excited by things he usually does either (like hanging out with his friends, playing games).
A big part of that, I think, has to do with his father. He couldn’t be “more of a man” (something I imagine Lonnie told the kid from very early on), but he could just be quiet and not show he’s hurt (something he did without realising it, I think), so Lonnie wouldn’t really pay much attention to him. People that don’t know him well, probably can’t tell the difference, but his family and close friends probably can tell when something is off (he also doesn’t make a lot of eye contact either, and focuses on his drawing even when someone talks to him, something that I can’t imagine went well with his father, but yeah). Although, even when they talk to him, he’s not going to open up right away or maybe at all, it depends on the situation and the person (Jonathan & and especially Mike are the ones he usually does talk to, but again, don’t expect him to say more than a couple of sentences about it).
Now if he ever gets visibly upset in front of others, it means he has reached his limit (i.e. when he was possessed by the mindflyer and he was crying in front of his mom, when he was angry at lucas and mostly mike for ditching him for months).
